At first I noticed to many imperfections, but I think it might have been the position of the axe with the light, you did pretty good, keep doing more and it will be perfect. Wish you the best and don`t stop doing restorations...and buy a tripod XD.
@Shouldwegooutside3 күн бұрын
Definitely not perfect, the axe was more rusted then i realized and thin, compromises material is not easy to forget weld. Thanks for the support! I'll work on the Tripod. 😅

In nz we only hunt turkey in late winter. Rest of the time the meat tastes like crap due to their summer diet of crickets. Wondering if you have the same problem there?
@ShouldwegooutsideАй бұрын
There are spring and fall turkey hunts here, and I haven’t heard of that issue with turkey. When processing it down, it looked like its most recent diet consisted of some wild wheat, pine nuts, and grass - so I’m assuming that makes up most of their diet. It was good flavor, but kind of tough meat.
@craigcarroll6161Ай бұрын
To really seal the pores on both ends of that handle, let them soak for a while in your boiled linseed oil. If I didn't already have three hatchets I'd probably try one too. Love turkey hunting. Enjoy.

Thanks for the video. I love my Kodiak canvas tent and always wondered if I should get a stove. It is pretty hot where I live in northern Mexico, but it would be awesome for those few cold nights. Will need to be careful not to burn my roof though.
@ShouldwegooutsideАй бұрын
Glad it was helpful! I love the tent, super good quality setup. Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes and have it work the first time. Glueing in the stove jack was super easy - I just used Gorilla glue fabric glue and i seems very good.

Really enjoyed the cooking video. 👍 To solve the issue with the stove jack Winnerwell makes a triple wall pipe section and a silicone jack that is absolute genius and will save your tent. But it might cost more than what you paid for the stove.
