Why does the scoreboard show the contestants by their last names when they always refer to each other by their first names? Kinda confusing if you dont know all their names imo

It's a University Challenge reference, when you take it combined with the announcement of (e.g.) "WhatCulture - Richardson" when somebody buzzes in. The joke (imo) is that UC is a quiz show that takes itself very seriously, whereas this clearly isn't!

Rich is right about the sound effect at 5:33 being used in more than one game. It's also used in Perfect Dark when a multiplayer match is about to end I believe. So Jules was onto something when he mentioned Timesplitters. Fun stuff, keep it up.

How the heck did noone get the hunter sound from L4D (and L4D2)!? That was like..THE iconic sound effect of the day at the time. Children screamed and men cowered and whispered to each other at the mere hint of it.

I'm glad Rich won because during the first question of who hit the buzzer first I firmly believe he was 1st [looked like Red-Blue-Yellow to me in slow-mo], yet he didn't gripe about it like a good sport. Also, the winning one, it was pretty much the only sound effect I knew right away, Glory to Arstotzka!

That alarm sound is decieving since it is stock and it's been used in many different games. It was in Splinter Cell was well

It is called a "klaxon" alarm. It's in tons of games; can't remember specific games, but usually it is used in conjunction with launching nuclear missiles or powering through endgame military bunkers.

WOW I haven’t played either Red Dead game and for some reason that noise was metallic and western sounding enough to make me guess Red Dead. I’m impressed with myself and the sound designers for how fitting it is to the game

" "Nice of you to say, but you of all people should know, there's plenty wrong with me" "What is better? To be born good or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" They could make it a bit harder by having it so that you have to answer both the game and the character that said it

Hanzo ult has to be one of the most popular sound effects in gaming now. The RDR2 one and the fortnite one we’re very easy at least for me. I used to play fortnite a lot only ever won a few times

You should wire the buttons up, so that none can trigger if one was triggered. Therefor it's clear who buzzed first.
