I really wanted to go to Outbreak this year but the writing was on the wall from when they announced the venue for me (they normally hold HUGE raves and electronic music events), I just knew some of the hardcore spirit from 2022 and previous years would be lost. A lot of my good friends were real disappointed with how it went down, especially those who attended 2022

Portuguese food is INCREDIBLE. I live in the actual #1 area for portuguese immigrants in the country. Im a super picky eater, and almost all of their dishes are godlike. Portuguese owned coney island spots are a whole other ballgame too, nothing else comes close.

The truth in the matter is, Outbreak was ONCE a hardcore fest. It's now basically Reading festival with a bunch of hardcore bands playing from time to time. Hardlore was the highlight.

In the early to mid-2010s, a number of British hardcore punk bands began being represented as members of a new musical movement dubbed the New Wave of British Hardcore (NWOBHC), a term coined by Adam Malik from The Essence Records. The movement was fronted by Liverpool-formed, Leeds-based band Violent Reaction, with other notable practitioners including Arms Race, Big Cheese, Higher Power and the Flex. Primarily based around Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, London and Brighton, the movement saw bands merge elements of UK82 and oi! into an American-inspired style of hardcore.
