A Malaysian Malay Muslim here, who has just returned home less than a year ago. I was shocked at the state of less than progressive perspectives, views, ideology dare I say it is even more backwards now than my time when I was growing up. This conversation is much much needed! Thank you both Harith and Prof for your courage to talk about this openly, your openness, healthy educated insights, be the voices of common sense- I do truly hope this session has opened up some people's minds, mentality, perspective. #1mindatatime.

Jakim has weaponised " halal " certification. They can easily shut a food factory by just accusing it of violating halal processes. When asked for evidence, after several months, there was none. Yes, because during my school time, thats what we heard from ustaz. We need more people like Prof. Tajuddin, to tell the truth meaning of mengkaji agama dengan dalam. Amin

What is the meaning of provocation? Stop abusing it by hiding behind it as cowards . Stop abusing the word provocation like the Gazan being used as human shields by the barbarian Hamas Islamic terrorists organisation. Truth though alien to most abdooos is not the slightest provocation but certainly hurts . One must have brains in the head to understand truth.

The boycott affected many workers of KK Mart predominantly malays. Am sure many families must have suffered. Always rationalize the consequences of all those directly earning a living from KKM, and the many other industries who are depending on KKM employees to support their business. Eg, the barber, restaurants, retail units and etc etc , the list will go on.

Thank you to both of you for having this discussions. I have listened to Professor's few videos, he is someone think out of the box not confined in a small tempurung. Every human being on this face of world no matter what are our background, beliefs, religion, etc in order to live peacefully is not to impose our religion, belief onto someone or in a country where multi racial people living. It is a individual path to practice, experience, learn, study, explore the possibility of knowing the truth. I wish more like minded people emerge in Malaysia.

I’m very happy to get to know prof here. Never imagined that Harith & Prof discussion was really intriguing. I’m very pleased that the KZfaq pop up this video to me as suggestion. Great contents & had learnt much from Prof. I have many Malay friends back then & now. But now I can feel intolerance in our society when we face issues of Religion nationwide in social media. I feel that I need to be more careful when approaching & friendly interaction with my fellow citizens if they are Malay, after reading extreme comments from social media. But in person, all the individuals especially Malays were still very friendly when approached where I lived in heavily Malays populated region in Selangor. What is been projecting in social media by those extreme post, statements & comments is still considerably not representing the whole nation’s real voice. We are still not rotten as a whole nation yet many still thinking rationally while living in our multicultural & multi religious nation. Hope politicians stop politicizing all fairly ignorable & forgivable issues into massive issues just to gain profit and to secure their personal interest. We must unite & stand as Malaysians to compete in international arena to shine but not to fight within our own fellow Malaysians and become vulnerable. Stay prudent.

Yeah, i try to steer clear away from these sensitive topic purely out of fear of angering our muslim brothers. But sadly, we all know deep in our hearts, the damage is beyond repair and the regression is accelerating.

Alhamdulillah. Tqso much Harith for invinting prof tajuddin for sharing his thought about msian. Selama ni sy mmg follow Prof tajuddin, he is a rare malay muslim and has great wisdom. Sayangnya majoriti melayu tidak seperti beliau. Saya sendiri bukan lah melayu ttapi orang Asli yg memeluk agama islam.

Extremely good conversation, very balanced and logical viewpoints from Prof. As a Chinese, I honestly didn't think much of the socks issues in the beginning, as it wasn't my place as a non-Muslim to concern with. However with Akmal leading the issue it didn't take very long to feel threatened. Anyone with a brain can see where he was driving it to and the underlying purpose. And yes, I felt the silence from right-minded Malays was deafening during the entire ordeal. Great interview, Harith and team. Can't wait to see another episode on "sesat".

It was a great discussion! I'm Malaysian Chinese, and I feel that Islam is a profound religion. However, it appears that in Malaysia, politicians often exploit the religion to boost their popularity, and our education system is unfortunately regressing. Despite these challenges, I believe Malaysia has the potential to become an economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia, similar to Saudi Arabia, if we stand united and embrace the modern world.
