This was great! Harlan it's ok to be a gentle soul, my son's are too and my oldest joined the marine corp at 17 and became squad leader over men twice his age and was the youngest marine there. So gentle does NOT mean you aren't tough! Love you guys!

My heart breaks that Harlan wasn't kept with his siblings when they had a home with space and love to take them all. I hope Harlan never feels less worthy because he wasn't immediately placed. I am so glad that his siblings were sent to a home that was passionate about keeping them all together.

I love how Shelly doesn’t push Harlan to say anything and she knows him so well. Harlan said he was fine after he got a little emotional when she was talking about his foster care experience but she knew that he needed a second. I love their relationship. You’d think having so many kids it would be hard to maintain a strong relationship with each of them but Shelly makes it seem so easy.

I’m sorry Harlan is still feeling the trauma from before his adoption. I’m thankful he has such loving and supportive parents!

You can definitely tell that Harlan tries to be tough but it’s a total sweetheart, but remember, specially in men, being sensitive and in touch with your own feelings is a very brave thing to do

Harlan has been the quiet one but he's also been the helper when he was needed. I've seen him jump in many times to help lift the heavy things many times. I feel for him and his rough pass but I'm so glad he is with a family who loves him. He may decide he wants to stay at home and work before going to school and he may decide to go a different direction. Whatever he does I know he'll go far and he'll have the safety of home to go back to.

Harlan is such a sweetheart. Love the relationship he has with his mom. Does he, aubrey and addison still have contact with their bio brother jacob?

I love how protective Shelly and Jared are is over the kids feeling and how they step in and says we’re gonna take a break and gives them the time they need and so they can decide if they want to talk about the things being asked. So glad your kids have this support so many kids don’t your the true definition of parents and your love shines brightly for your children and family.

I'm so glad we got to learn more about Harlan! Call of duty is my favorite game too! I play every night and my kids are 12 to 21 and they think it's so crazy their mom plays COD, I think it's just because I'm a higher prestige 😉. Thank you to your family for being such an inspiration. I raised five kids and they are almost all adults now and it's so much fun for me to relive all the fun and excitement watching your full House of kids.
