The new Harley Benton ST-20 HH SBK with HBZ active pickups.
Guitar was played as it came out of the box (except for tuning ;) ).

You ain’t lying! Especially if its a $120 and you can shred it!!! Might pull the trigger on one today! I have a wolf wlp 750t but I really wanna check Harley Benton out!

I got mine a few days ago and it seriously blows me away at how great this guitar is for the money. I bought it specifically to mod and put new electrics it because I expected everything to be terrible quality. I have to say though I don’t think you can get any better quality for the price. The tuners and nut are about the only things that would really need replacing. Even then you could still get away with keeping them stock.

Yeah, I totally agree! After playing this guitar for a few days now: The tuners feel a bit cheap, but hold tune easily, even after one string broke (time to put on some thicker ones). Playability is awesome! And the pickups sound ok after getting used to them :)

@@struppmann. I’m going to put some heavier strings on mine once all the parts I ordered arrive! My tuners have some dead spots and are REALLY hard to turn sometimes but once they’re in tune they stay in tune surprisingly well.

@@justseb5737 Usually they ship really fast. It should take just a few days from Germany to the UK.

@@justseb5737 I ordered mine on Tuesday evening (I'm in UK too) and still no sign of it and not showing up on the tracking yet. Think I read somewhere that the tracking doesn't show up until it's in the UK. Hope it turns up soon, I'm getting impatient! 😂

@@struppmann. yes, there is already the te-20 hh but it doesn't have active pickups so I wouldn't be able to upgrade to emgs easily (no battery compartment) and the red pickguard bugs me

@@duckfluff I have the te20hh. Had a set of emg's 81 85 laying around so i went ahead and put them in. Had to open up the bridge plate and pickgaurd. Routing the battery compartment was easy. Hindsight, i would have left the tone knob off and battery would have fit under control cover perfectly. Also had to level frets. Now it's one of my favorite guitars to play now.

Funny, my pickup selector switch was also bent. Don't think there was any styrofoam for protection on it when I unpacked it.

Funny! Maybe that's a standard-feature, mine definitly had the styrofoam cap on top 😅😂

Not sure. I didn't check this to be honest. Doesn't look like in the video. But I can look it up wenn I change strings. I wanna go for some thicker ones for dropC-tuning soon, the stock-strings are too thin.

Yes! For 129€ you're getting an excellent looking and playable instrument. If you like the sound of the active pickups, I say: go for it ;)

I just recently got one of these. It is an beyond excellent guitar for the price. The only two things that needed attention were at the head stock. The stock tuners are garbage (replaced with Hipshot locking tuners). I also noticed that since the stock tuners are not staggered, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sting went back up at an angle after the string trees. This is not a good thing. After replacing the stock tuners with staggered ones, the strings are now level with the headstock after the string trees.

Interesting points, I didn't recognize that. Tuners work well for me, but the HipShots are definitive an upgrade. Am I right, that the HipShot-tuners are the same value as the guitar? Have fun with your guitar! 🎸

I don't have a scale, but I guess it's around 3,4 kilogramms / 7.5 pounds.

@@struppmann. you play a very distorted rock / metal sounding guitar but then go to a clean almost lofi feel . Is it changed by pc? Or is it a setting on the guitar itself

@@noahl3911 It's all done only with the guitar and the Orange OR15. The Song in the beginning was mainly recorded with the JetCity JCA22H, which has 2 channels :)

No, my guitar came without a battery. Had to take one from my acoustic 😅

@@RainerK. Hi Rainer! I looked it up: My guitar came without a battery, it was not in the cable-box and nowhere else. Seems like you have been the lucky one :D

@@struppmann. That's weird. Did you get a B-Stock? Or maybe they put them in the bag just before sending them out and they forgot in your case. I would expect it to come with one since otherwise the guitar doesn't work. 🤷‍♂
