@@benpowersguitar Well Ben, my brother Dan is the guitarist on our channel. I just do the purchasing, planning, filming, editing etc. But as a guitarist I kinda suck, my point being that even though I suck I still end up with 40 guitars and my son has at least a dozen, and I have given at least that number away to friends, family and students at a couple of local high schools. I'm going to have to start pawning guitars just to make room for more guitars. I have also given some to my brother Dan but his wife has threatened to kill me if I give him any more 😉👍!

It's not to bad, unless you're sweaty. I use a microfiber cloth to get them off fairly quickly after playing. I have some matte finish cleaner on the way. Yeah, the pickguard looks great on it :)

@@benpowersguitar I hope the cleaner does a good job. I know it would need to if I was playing a matte black guitar. Have you posted a photo of the black pickguard?

I would honestly think the neck might be a bit thick for younger players. I would recommend looking at the Jackson JS11/JS12, Kramer Focus VT-211s or Baretta Special or Squier Bullet & Affinity strats.

Not that actually fit the screw holes, the black one I ordered is more of a MIM Fender pattern, as this is more of a Squier pattern. Didn't say on the site, so that was a little disappointing. But I drilled new holes, as I really don't like the pickguard that came on it.

Thomann Music might be able to answer that for you.

The new ones are 12" radius with Amaranth fretboard. They made several changes to their models this year. Mostly for the best.

Hi James. I apologize, I thought I included that info. On an $88 the frets aren't going to be polished, they were like a Squier, plays off quickly, but not unexpected. The fret level was due to the neck being off. They did offer to refund/replace the guitar, but they also made a partial refund offer that made keeping it worth if just for the body. As for fixing it, wood glue and pressure for 2 days. It reset great, truss rod adjustment fixed everything else. This is not something I would recommend doing unless you are experienced with repairs, or are using it to learn and don't mind if it turns out bad. I found Thomann to have great service and really fast. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it James.

@@jamesfindice2871 I believe it is a little bigger, as the neck is a little wider, but I haven't tried it. I will say the finish on this neck makes it play so nice.

I think it would. It has a nice flat fretboard and really fast neck, though it's not a speed neck. The pups are inexpensive and may not be as articulate under heavy distortion, which is true of any inexpensive guitar. That said, they had a nice crunch.

@@cringekiddo7074 The shipping on these are really expensive, depending on where you live. Here in the US it's $62-68. Which puts it in the $150 range. The Mitchell MD200 when it's on sale (it is right now, musiciansfriend) is around $125 and a better guitar. I would recommend it over anything in the $200 or below price range. The Jackson js11 would be another excellent choice if you want a little flatter neck, same radius as the Mitchell. Both are better than the Harley Benton. Honestly, while it's on sale, I would say get the Mitchell MD200. By far the most bang for the buck, and the pickups can handle hard playing and clean. Plays really nice. I love mine. The Jackson would be my personal 2nd choice under $200.

@@themusic3910 I think it feels great. Honestly, I was amazed at how good it felt. I think they changed fretboard materials since my vid. I did have some fret sprout ( I live in a very dry climate), but that was the only comfort issue.
