Question, are you happy with the bridge pickup placement? Do you feel like you get enough harmonics and overtones out of the higher portion of the fretboard?

@@voldemortsshampoo4551 Oh it wasnt high at all if I can remember correctly about 1.6 and I lowered it to 1.4 and a little bit more relief, I was playing it fine for a couple of months before I got around to adjusting it, its a great guitar you will not be dissapointed, I still find myself looking at it and thinking "so much guitar for so little money"

@@davidjairala69 sorry I did not get around to answering your question, I am 100% pleased with this guitar it has more than your average tele copy has, yes the bridge pickup sounds good and it does look a little high, one way I judge a guitar is I play a G chord and if the E string is overpowering against the other strings It goes back, this one is not perfectly balanced but its not overpowering either

@@alexc9278 what’d you think? I have owned/own 3 Gibson LPs, an SG, a Flying V and an Epiphone LP…I’ve always wanted a Tele style guitar and finally just pulled the trigger on this. I have and easily would spend bigger money on a guitar, but this seems like a win/win.

Even though you could probably run a Hello Kitty guitar through the rig he's set up into and it would sound great. I wish they'd use more basic amps when demoing

I believe Harley builds their own pickups and hand wound them. It's just CRAZY how great of a deal these are. Almost unbelievable they're made in Germany.

Would you upgrade a, let's say a Fender Telecaster with threaded inserts ? How often do you change your guitars neck ? I am just asking for my luthier. No pun intended !

@@gluteusmaximus1657 good question: it’s just for traveling with the guitar in a suitcase - with strings attached and neck lying next to the body. And i like to tinker (with the neck angle). Wouldn’t modify a pricier guitar

@@smogg2437 it's a fantastic guitar for the money and more! Mine came perfect but the setup was absolutely shocking so that was the first step in the process! One high fret on the whole board so sorted that and then installed the new pickups ( iron gear Tesla Shark alnico 2 £70for a set) then added Puch pull pot and CTS tone pot Inc new orange drop capacitor and new switch ( standard one was crap printed circuit board) new set of strings and boy oh boy it absolutely rocks! I love it and it looks stunning in the Matt black! I will probably upgrade the nut but it's cut well and works as do the tuners but they will go at some point. I think my total spend is about £160 ish Inc the guitar but it's great and I'll just keep it around as I'm not bothered if it gets knocked or dinged! It's not as heavy as a Fender and it has a thinner body but still has some heft to it tho. Only thing more than soldering that needs doing is drilling out the pot holes in the plate to fit the bigger shafts on the big pots. Buy one you won't be disappointed. It even sounded ok standard and I could have lived with it but I know it wouldn't get played as is. Now do I sell my fender telecaster and buy the TE-52 and mod the hell out of it and pocket the £700 change from the sale?

You need to modify say a fender mex pickguard to fit but it can be done or buy some pickguard material and make your own. Thomann did sell them a few years ago to fit the say TE-52

You'd definitely be able to do their stuff on this. Their tones aren't too crazy in most cases. The guitar won't be the issue. What you may find is that the Amp and effects will make the biggest difference

It really depends what he means by that - he could be talking about something inane like needing to tune it up out of the box or having to fuck with the neck nut and bridge, which will seem daunting to a beginner.
