Dont blame you for passing on that FatBoy, that specific model would be great to have but that bike just wasnt the one, it looks more like a project bike to me. I hope part 2 has a happy ending, nothing wrong with the low rider but Im just a FatBoy person, I have the 2020 anniversary, best of luck in your quest big dawg

If someone could get that bike for cheap it would make a great project. But it’s most likely going have to be completely repainted. That 2020 anniversary model is a hot looking bike. Wish I had one.

If your gut had doubts, you made the wise choice to avoid. Oh, a fellow club member bought my 22', knowing he was getting a well-kept bike. Love LOVE the RGST, but getting either the Breakout or another FB is on the longer-term agenda. You'll get the one for you, brother!
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
Sounds like you got the bike you like. The Breakout would be interesting as well. I have a feeling I’ll find the right bike.

That’s Redline for you. I just plain don’t like the way they do business. Ended up going to Calgary instead. Overall it was the better choice

I’ve never dealt much with a dealership out of province. The only time I really tried they did not seem to have much interest in dealing with someone who wasn’t local 😬
@JonBlaze6 ай бұрын
Hopefully you’re not dealing with the dealership that gave you the runaround (to say the least) when you got the Low Rider. That irked me and I wasn’t even involved! LOL
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
I don’t plan to deal with those folks again.

Maybe it sat outside all the time. Or it could have been in a flood. Ya ever know. Good video brother.😎

Thanks. Judging from the paint it looked like it was used to clear brush.

I'm glad you walked away from the 2017! An auction bike could mean anything and be saddled with issues! I had Rhinehart's on a Super Glide and they do sound great!
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
Yeah, once he said “auction” that sent up red flags. Not interested in buying a bike with an unknown history. I’ve heard a few bikes with some good Rinehart exhaust.

Damn can't wait for part 2.....wanna buy a mint 21 with 13K on it? Lol

You know I love the 2021’s 😉

That's the problem with buying a used Harley. In the previous owner's frantic attempt to "make this bike his own" he totally bastardized the original look of the bike. He took a nice looking Fat Boy and turned it into a Road King. If he wanted a bagger, why didn't he just buy a bagger? People do this all the time and it's stupid. It destroys the whole look of the bike.
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
Used bikes are usually a gamble. Maybe these guys buy a bike, get it home, and then realize they should have got something else.
@dougk96476 ай бұрын
@@canadiansa1nt309 You raise a good point. There are probably a lot of riders that buy a bike on an impulse without thinking about what kind of riding they're going to do.

Oh yeah that’s the kind of fat boy that I have the newer ones in my opinion are ugly. I was nothing but a fat boy guy before the new models came out now I have zero interest in purchasing a new one 2017 and earlier is the way I would go. That’s a bad ass bike man.
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
I think the blacked out look on a Fatty looks pretty mean. I don’t mind the new look though. I’ve had a few different versions over the years.
@PabloCruise16 ай бұрын
I agree. I hate the new look Fat Boy.
@timbutler32136 ай бұрын
I thought you were (maybe) just gonna pick up the fat boy without trading in the low rider. Don’t trade in the low rider, they’ll only take advantage of you, again. I’d say sell it to a third party if you’re gonna part with it.
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
Wouldn’t be able to have both. Has to be one or the other. As for trade in value, it will depend on the dealer.
@jklstewart6 ай бұрын
I agree- I would not give them the opportunity to rip me off. I'm much more comfortable buying from an individual. I've bought two used bikes that have lasted many miles. Let them divas at the stealership do their thing without me.

good morning what happen to the tank badges on the tank ????
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
Apparently they were in bad shape so they took them off. If you saw the paint it wouldn’t surprise you.

thank god you did not buy that bike we might get snow here to night in boston @@canadiansa1nt309

Prefer the classic look of the older fatboy over the newer ones but that sure looked rough and definitely wise choice not to buy an auction bike
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
@@2021FLHRXS the video made it look way better than it actually was, that’s for sure. I agree it wouldn’t be wise to take an auction bike. Especially after the way it looked like it had been treated.

Keep the Low Rider S. Put on a set of Metzeler Cruisetecs, and enjoy.

If you could only have 1 bike for the rest of your life, would it be the FatBoy? 👀😮
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
I believe it would be. Hard to say exactly which version though.

I have seen pop marked paint like that on black lower front forks before. This guy had ridden about 30K highway miles in one year. Many highway miles will do this. It sounds like this guy left the bike out in the sun for many months. Prices of used bikes are falling like a stone. Your local dealership offering less on a 2023 Lowrider S than on a 2017 Fat Boy S is price gouging. I would not do business with that dealer. Never Ever!! I bet that dealership does not have more than $9K in that 2017 Fat Boy. You can never save money on used bikes buying from a dealer.
@canadiansa1nt3096 ай бұрын
I’ve had some fairly high mileage bikes but I’ve never had stone chips like that. I suppose it could just be where I was riding. I’m not sure where you’re from but around here the used bikes are selling pretty high. Outrageously high in some places. I’m not sure why it’s like that here. But I won’t be dealing with that dealership again. That was terrible.
@richpuller13486 ай бұрын
Its just not high milage. Its riding 80 mph and debris coming up from riders in front of you that does it. Where I saw forks like the ones in your vid were on Adam Sandovals 2023 motorcycle he rode in the Great American Convoy.. He may have hit a lil gravel in road construction. I bet 95% of his miles were highway.. The pop marks really show up on black forks. I remember looking at his forks in Michigan and I thought. Wow look at all those pop marks. By this time he probably had 25K miles on it. @@canadiansa1nt309
