Hi Del, good stuff. I've just have some small tips that may help you improve your results next time! :) -For filler, only mix 1:100, no need to make the filler turn pink. It will dry too quickly and streak. -Don't use a paper towel as masking material. You can see a bunch of fibers land in your wet paint at 9:05min when you remove the piece of paper, ruining the finish. -Don't wear a cotton hoodie and *never* hang with your sleeves above your workpiece. Dust and fibers fall out of your cloths and land on you work. -If you do the above mentioned things you don't need 10 thick layers of paint to hide imperfections. 3 light coats will do and give you a much better result! Hope it helps! :) Have a nice day Del!

So *that* explains why my painting projects always turn out like a mess! My "prep work" is apparently slightly different than your "prep work". Here I've been throwing mud on the parts, letting cats walk on them, occasionally when I'm feeling extra attention to detail is necessary for fancy lah dee dah results, I may drop them on the shop floor. Who knew that's how to do it the correct way? Sheesh. Dude, they turned out so beeeautiful! :O

I would be interested to see what that tuff paint looks like after a year or so. Because regular spray paint doesn't keep its shine after being in the elements. Otherwise nice work

Hey Del, I love all your videos! This one came out great as always I wanted to know where you purchased that paint from and also did you sandblast those triple trees? I have a huge sandblasting cabinet with all different types of media in my garage. Was wondering if I could strip all the clearcoat off that way before cleaning and then prepping to paint if that would be effective.

Take a radial measurement from the top of the tube, measuring round to the angle of the lock, then orientate the stem according to that in relation to the bottom yoke... if you measure it correctly, you'll get it bang on!

It is very nice watching a craftsman at his work. Yes mate, you have to press the stem in on the hydraulic press which is a huge amount of force bearing down on to the casting and if it's painted, it would just chew it up... so far easier to press it in whilst it's bare metal and just mask it up... thanks for your kind words buddy.

Pity they don't put that much care & effort in at the factory, it could go some way to justifying their silly prices . . . Whilst not too 'Faberge' about some of their castings - 'you do get a lot of metal on your bike' - it just needs finishing. On the other hand - how much to 'Delficate' a new Harley fresh out the crate? The 'Fatboy-Rough Superior' - want one! Have a great w/e & stay nice & cool down there in the new equatorial splendor of deepest Dorsetland : )xx
