At 1:58 you said you were getting winf. Your wind deflector was closed under the windshield on the 24. If you open that deflector and aim it up parallel with the windshield, the wind buffeting almost disappears. I’ve noticed when that is closed, it’s way worse.

Great review, I enjoyed the blue skies and sunshine lol! I rented a Street Glide when I crossed the pond to ride Route 66 back in 2001 and loved every minute I was on it. The Batwing fairing is much more my taste than the Sharknose.

Harley has to progress or be totally left behind but with that said I purchased a 2023 because I had a BMW with all the latest electric gadgets and I prefer analog. On the BMW I used sport mode always so the other modes were rarely if ever used. When the electronics go sideways it’s a major deal and I just preferred the older look. It’s really a personal thing and I’m glad that Harley is progressing.

Nice review. A couple of things are holding me back from a new street glide. The lack of a cigarette plug. I plug a small inverter into it. The windshield. I have a Klok Werks windshield on my 2019 street glide special and a fairing mounted phone mount. I like to tuck my phone up to the windshield to protect it from the elements. I really like that they put the gas cap back in the center of the tank. Now what's holding me back from a 2023 street glide is the gas cap is off to the side

I'm in the market for a Streetglide, and I just had a test ride on a 2024. I have a 2008 Rocker, chopper style with 10" over forks and high apes and I want to complement it with a touring bike for longer rides or girlfriend on the back. This was my very first ride on a Streetglide. My only previous experience on a Harley touring chassie was a 2000 Roadking I owned some 20 years ago. But I was not impressed. Bike rides very smooth and handles good, but... the windshield! 😭Absolutely terrible, Im 6'1" and there was so much noise and turbulence around the helmet. Maybe I need to try a taller windshield, but I really don't like that look. And I also prefer some wind, as long as it doesn't cause turbulence on my helmet. I also don't like the riding position. Too upright, and foot plates too close, I had to lift my entire leg to shift. But I guess all this can be fixed with taller handlebars with more pullback, and forward mounted foot plates. Regarding the engine, I was also not that impressed. My moderately tuned 96cui twincam feels more powerful. Sure, the Streetglide is heavier than my Rocker, but still... But maybe it's because of the lack of noise (the 2024 was 100% stock, my Rocker has V&H no baffles whatsoever). You also don't feel the speed in the same way on the newer bike. Maybe I should try the 2023 model? Dealer has new ones in stock with large discount. Looks better also, especially the Special with the stretched bags. But it feels wrong to pay almost the same money for a bike that is much more dated.

Honestly I feel like Harley is moving towards a more agile bike! And that’s awesome because it seems more focused on light weight materials… a great suspension and overall tactile feel …that to me is the 2024 street glide and road glide…. The 2023 model is more traditional and has the smoother rider … but give me a 2024 in shark skin blue

You never opened the front vent on 2024 to compare to the 2023 head buffering.
