What I love about animusic is that everything you see and everything you hear are linked together in someway. Everything, even the things you didn't think out. Like that purple smoke in the background is the backing drone of the song. Everything is linked together, and it's brilliant.

Their planet was nearing its end. Though they could not save themselves, there was still hope: Project Harmonic Voltage. By combining fiber optics with the ancient Heavy Light pyramid, they could send a distress signal throughout the universe: one last piece of music, from a dying planet of living instruments. The first part of the song told their history. The second part asked for help. But even if rescue never came, the third part was triumph, because this last song would play forever. (reviving this great comment by Blake Raines) (reviving again)
@DavidsKanal
@DavidsKanal Жыл бұрын
As the end of their planet approached, the people knew that there was little they could do to save themselves. But they refused to give up hope. They had developed a plan that they hoped would allow them to send a message to the universe, one that would reach far beyond their dying world. This plan was called Project Harmonic Voltage. It involved combining the latest technology, fiber optics, with an ancient pyramid known as the Heavy Light. This pyramid had been used for centuries to amplify the power of sound, and the people believed that it could be used to transmit a powerful distress signal throughout the universe. The signal would be a song, one that would tell the story of their people and their world. It would be a song of loss and desperation, as they begged for help from anyone who might be listening. But even if no one answered their call, the final part of the song would be a celebration, a triumphant expression of the beauty and resilience of their culture. It would be a song that would play forever, a testament to the enduring spirit of the people who created it.

This was the near end of this planet. Everybody tried to save it, but failed. But the instruments still had hope, and sang for the life of their planet. The singing continued for days, and their planet was at risk. But the instruments continued to sing. They called it: Project Harmonic Voltage. This would be the ultimate project of this planet’s survival. Thanks to this project, their planet was saved, and lived on forever.

The harmony between the two red lasers at 1:26 right after is so beautiful. Combined with that background beat and drums it’s just perfect. It’s a very nostalgic sound (not because we’re looking back it it now). It’s like you’re remembering a past friend and thinking of all the great times together and the times you wish you had. Don’t know how but whenever it hits that low note it feels like the song is reaching deep into your soul. It reminds me a lot of the “overview effect”. It feels like you’re getting an overview of something you remember as a feeling.

Their world was ending. But all they knew was song. And so they sang. They sang to the merciless heavens. They sang to those that had forgotten them. They sang to all that were, and all that would ever be. They sang the song of their past. They sang the song of their present. And they sang the song of the future they wished they could see. And as the lights turned out As their song grew quiet Even as they knew they would never sing again They sang For they had one last song left, their final… Harmonic Voltage.

I've seen Blake Raines' comment everywhere (about the dying civilization using Harmonic Voltage as one last cry for help), and I swear, I want a proper Animusic film SO damn badly! Having an Animusic movie with an actual story and lore would be so cool to see, and imagining the short story that Blake originally came up with for this specific song is such an amazing thing to visualize! Just thinking of an ancient civilization, on a planet far away, made entirely of autonomous instruments. A culture based around sound itself, and how it can be manipulated to form amazing pieces and experiences. A civilization that thrived on peace, evolving not through war and diversity, but by working together and unifying, no matter what instruments, to make one big, glorious orchestra with beautiful songs that will forever travel and propagate through the Universe. And with their last project, Harmonic Voltage, even if help never comes, their song will still forever play and leave a mark in time. And maybe... just maybe... there's other life out there... who will one day detect the music descending from space, and how wonderful it all sounds. They'd likely be too late to help this dying civilization, but they will celebrate with triumph, in honor of this civilization. Their people were no more, but their music will still live on, forever spreading joy and peace to those who come across it. And who knows? Maybe these civilizations will create music of their own, using the knowledge acquired from Harmonic Voltage (it did tell of their history after all in the first part), and will help to share it to any other civilizations that may also be out there.

Their hard drive was nearing its end. Though they could not save the files, there was still hope: Project Google Drive. By combining internet websites with the ancient central processing unit, they could send a distress signal throughout the universe: one last .blend backup, from a dying hard drive of old cgi videos. The first part of the file held the music file. The second part added camera movements. But even if the hard drive, the third part was triumph, because this backup would play forever as a 1080p 60 fps file.
