I remember seeing this game in a switch presentation, thinking it looked really cool, then completely forgetting anything distinguishing about it beyond "that visual novel game I was interested in" (admittedly the title is kind of a clunker). Glad to see that it's finally here and it turned out good. Definitely gonna pick it up!

Also notable, the soundtrack is made by Lena Raine, so if you like good video game soundtracks then you might wanna check it out.

Don't Nod is really one of my favourite developers, deep narrative driven stories where choices always matter and can have a profound effect on the outcome.

Bruh the animation looks so cool. I haven't seen this very good animation style in 2d games

So they just made a decision tree into the overt central mechanic of a visual novel? I guess it's at least honest to the underlying narrative structure of the game, even if laying it bare in front of the player seems a bit odd as it can potentially wreck any chance of suspension of disbelief, a ballsy move for sure. The only dontnod game I've ever played was Remember Me a long time ago, and I liked it despite the general consensus at the time being that it was just kinda meh, but I guess this one just found its way into my wishlist.

A lot of the nodes are hidden or has requirements to be chosen. Also some nodes lock other nodes so it's a bit more complex than just a path tree.

Review was ok, but it kinda felt empty? All I got was that the reviewer liked the game. How long is it? Did they play it personally more than once? Can they comment on how much the choices differ the storyline? Does it just change the filler, until major plot points that cannot be changed? Or does it fully affect the narrative from start to finish? Also they didn’t even touch on sound design, music or how much of the game is voiced.

While the game looks good, I can’t hear “Dontnod” without thinking this company accidentally encrypted their name and is too self-conscious to admit it.

Big fan of Don't Nod and this one delivers again. Have been playing the game of the last couple of hours and is has sucked me in. The themes and concepts are esoteric and metaphysical and the mechanics suitably complex but that doesn't get in the way of enjoyment (though the front-loaded mechanics and concepts were a lot to take in). The characters, worlds and voice acting is once again fantastic.
