@@gantenbeinable I have a matepad with harmony os. pros: the OS looks good. cons: everything else. Although it's a new os it barely gets any relevant update, a ton of apps wont work at all, other apps work but they crash if you do specific functions. Screen share works only with the latest models (it doesn't work with my 2020 p30 lite) a fuckton of audio recording/editing apps also work like crap cause the sample rate of the os is fixed and it causes a lot of problems. The only good things are stupid shit like the rapid widget that i never use or things like that. Web browsers like opera won't sync with other devices. using youtube on your browser is slow as fuck and sometimes you need to restart everything cause it gets very slow. Take note: i use all my devices very carefully, i always keep them clean from bloatware, useless apps and unwanted/unused files, so it's not a matter of wrong usage or stuff like that

Been on the Huawei ecosystem since 6 years now and have never been disappointed. It's still under rated and deserves a far wider audience to experience futuristic technology that you don't feel ripped off by in few months. Their updates are frequent and accross all devices. My phone fell off my pocket and two cars drove over it and too my luck the screen didn't Crack, ofcourse the back was shattered and the glass over the camera too but now it clicks picutres like a retro cam wic one wud have to spend around 100$ on the market. This is not a paid comment, just true love 😉

At first i was unsure about harmony os but having the huawei watch 3 pro and it using harmony os not having access to google support doesn't bother me as i like the connectivity that the harmony os brings i just wish i could get it on my P30 pro

Hi, I have a question is somebody can answer like is it safer to do online banking and use other financial apps on huwai p40 pro as I have heard one has to download these apps through third party apps so your saved passwords could be breach of security there? What do you guys think? I want to buy p40 pro bit scared of this, any help would be really appreciate, cheers

I prefer Huawei and HTC for some odd reason but It doesn't really matter in the end, you accept all terms and conditions by using their devices and banking with them. IoT + Bi0Tech + banking is end game stuff. But you can try disable all unnecessary services, permissions,apps, and opt-out of everything you don't need. Turn off sensors from developer settings. Do this from latest OS. Then install ESET full version and your apk apps. That's it. Stay stock use phone only as needed. If possible Integrate 2FA with yubico like key into your vip accounts. Lock your carrier number so it can't port out. If possible use Google number too. Disposable email and numbers can help. Don't share your info. Clean your life. Just do what's needed on your phones and you'll be okay and Don't take va666sins no matter what. Enjoy Maximum battery health. (Literally) Take care

Does not concern your video, great video you made ... ehat is the reason that for over a year "Huawei" is not able to give the user the possibility to pull down the "notification center" with a swipe from the middle of the screen (or whatever area), instead you have to pull down the center from the upper edge of the huge smartphones. Sad and zero acceptance for something like this. It was like that with EMUI when I had my P30 Pro and still the same with Harmony OS. One damn setting and they don't do it..

I really don't know much. If Huawei want to compete with Samsung and android they should make a hybreed portable phone handheld game . Things that could emulate retro games like the Gpd xd, powkiddy x18s and Jxd android game player. They even could put not only apple , Samsung in trouble but also nintendo , xbox and Sony.

People pick a closed ecosystem like IOS for stability and well made apps. Others pick an open ecosystem like Android for the level of customization and the huge selection of apps (although some of them have very limited functions compared to IOS) and then there's Harmony OS. I have a Matepad pro with Harmony on it and, as much as I like the interface, it's a closed ecosystem that brings basically nothing to the table except for the things you've mentioned. It looks good, feels good but it has the same closed environment as Apple with the downside of having just a handful of decent apps. Saying that the lack of GMS only affects Google apps, well, is misleading at best. A TON of apps don't work on harmony and as much as I like my tablet, I think the downsides are huge. Gspace does not solve the problem at all by the way and the Huawei store is just a very scuffed play store

this is very true! i have my huawei laptop d14 and huawei p40 it is fun to use multi screen collaboration but huawei is lacking A LOT of apps and yes g space does not solve the problem. my huawei p40 didn't even have a camera update in 2 years and that sucked big time. i would not trust this company now i know why they are always on sale. i've been loyal for 2 years yet not freaking development now im happy i bought the galaxy s22.

@@BLAKEEATS1988 well you also know that the reason for the lack of apps is because the USA Gov put a block on them right? . All American services apps were stopped. Due to the trade war. So you not going to have all the apps. Unless you can do an APK 3 party download of the app. Like Instagram Facebook KZfaq etc...

It's still android with just some custom functions and a skin over it like one ui, color os, etc and it doesn't have gms.

@@JTManuel yeah. It's based on the first android code which wasn't android yet then. It's free . They made it better and redesigned it. It's not a skin. It's redesign. One UI is a skin. One of many like MIUI etc. They use original code with so many changes which makes it lighter and redesigned.
