6 ай бұрынHere's my cover of Harold Faltermeyer's "Top Gun Anthem"! The song is part of my new "Synthesizer Legends - Volume 1" album, which is available now:

The album features a collection of cover tunes of famous and less well-known instrumental synthesizer gems from the eighties. Some of the songs on the album have been part of my live repertoire for many years already, while other songs are completely new arrangements. The fourth and final single from the album is a new arrangement: Harold Faltermeyer's legendary "Top Gun Anthem". The music was recorded using only analog synthesizers and analog drum machines:
Roland Alpha Juno 1&2; JX-8P; TR-808, Korg Poly-61; Polysix, Analog Rytm mkII, Arturia Polybrute, Dave Smith Tetra, Hypersynth Xenophone, Jomox AirBase99, Marion MSR-2, Oberheim Xpander, Touched-by-Sound DRM1.
(Roland JD-Xa used as controller for Poly-61 to enable pedal pitch bend)
Arranged, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Kebu / Sebastian Teir.

That was a Masterpiece! You’ve brought back some great memories. In 1986 I lived in Pensacola Florida and twice a week the Blue Angels F-14’s would fly overhead performing their Top Gun maneuvers. Thank you for this wonderful song.

Ich habe eigentlich so meine Probleme mit Covern, aber Kebu schafft es wieder mal beeindruckend mich vom gegenteil zu überzeugen, deine Interpretation, hat mir von Anfang bis ende Saugut gefallen ohne das Original zu sehr zu "verzerren". Einfach der Oberhammer Kebu, danke ! 🙏

Kebu, I don't know how to say this, but knowing your talent, your track record and past performances, I think, deep down in my heart, that you could have done better.
