Lyrics:
Ooh... ooh...*
(Oh, I)
Ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh... ooh...
(Oh, I)
(I miss you, baby)
(Oh...)
(Oh, I) Oh, I (Oh, I)
(Miss you) I miss you, baby (Miss you)
(Miss you, miss you) I swear I do
(Miss you) Mmm, hmm
Every since you went away
I ain't been doing nothing but
(Thinking, thinking) [x2]
With my head in my hands
(Thinking)

This song came out before I was born but it’s one of my all time favorites. Remember my dad playing this and singing it when I was a kid. I asked him if he was thinking of my mom because they were divorced and he smiled at me and said shut up girl 😆

Frank Wilson was an extraordinary talent.I visited him and his wife Bunny and I didn't know who he was until I saw his gold and platinum records and 3 Grammy Awards on his wall, because he never bragged about who was and his accomplishments in the music industry! A Motown Pillar!!

Whenever I hear Teddy's voice I can't help but think of how much style the singers of his era had.

The entire premise of the song's mood starts and ends with legendary Lloyd Parks'(far left) somber tone , a broken hearted man in pure misery. Harold's rap during the middle (remember when I used to take him to ride the pony outside the store) about their small son breaks my heart every time I listen to this record. The composition, Teddy, Harold, Lloyd, Bernie, Larry with TSOP's instrumentation equates to a soul-masterpiece, first of many hits to come for The Blue Notes.

I grew up on this music as a child hearing it on the radio, starting my morning getting dressed for elementary school, listening to Montague, the #1 syndicated disc jockey. Everyone that called in to his show would say, “I LOVE YOU MONTAGUE!!” My husband just sent this to my email at 4 this morning…we’re not together because life happens and gets in the way. I never understood when I was young and people would say, love is not enough…now I understand😢. I’ve ALWAYS loved Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes… RIP to the late gr8 Mr. Pendergrass, the late gr8 Harold Melvin and the other Bluenotes that have passed💞🙏🏾……. and too my husband…I miss you too baby
