I made a Flemish single 49 years ago when Zuckermann was still in Manhattan. Many moves later I have misplaced the manual and three .008 inch soft iron treble strings needed to be replaced. I still have the hammer/ stringing tool and a small roll of the original wire. This beautifully made video was all that I needed to refresh my 80 year-old brain's memory. Well done, thank you!

thank you so much for this - I built a Zuckermann French Double years ago and recently needed to fix a few strings (and I'd completely forgotten how to do it) - BTW the harpsichord is beautiful - I enjoy playing it every day.

@@frediheld5649 I have a Zuckermann kit. It was a pleasure to build and I called the factory a lot and they were always helpful. You might try them and see if they have what you want

Looks pretty easy in brass but wait until you try a .10 steel one. It takes a lot of practice to develop a feel for getting it right.
