Didn’t know that, always thought the golden eagle or the bald eagle were the most powerful, or even the red tail eagle. My first time seeing this one.

@@Turtleback8024 This one is definitely bigger and more powerful. Steller's sea eagle, philipinne eagle and harpy eagle are 3 largest eagles. The 4th is white-tailed eagle, so the golden and bald eagles aren't even in top 4.

More precisely the females of this species are huge, the males are considerably smaller

Physically they grow like weeds. Mentally, not so much. He'll let Mom feed him until he decides he's a big boy now, or until she won't. The hardest time in their lives is the first year. Up to 80% of all the Eagles, Hawks, Owls, etc. that are born in a given year will not see their 1st birthdays. Starvation is the leading cause of death among the young birds.
