What is Ragnar doing in meta? I know she's great in CV games, but she cannot carry in the way meta DDs can. She fits better in competitive. Black Shimakaze also does not belong in meta. She is a Shima with her weaknesses patched and she is a massive upgrade, but she doesn't have the utility to hunt other DDs as efficiently and is still reliant on torps for good results. She fits better in competitive. I have zero clue why Mecklenburg is this high. She's a good ship, but her long range performance is at best marginally better than Preußen. Preußen also is tankier, better equipped for close range and is less vulnerable against CVs. There is zero chance Mecklenburg is above Bourgogne and Slava, and she fits better in low competitive. Preußen is better in high competitive but still behind Bourgogne. Speaking of Slava, how on earth is she worse than Ohio and Bourgogne? Yeah she has bad armor but so does basically every other meta BB, and although she kind of lacks up close, the enemy isn't likely to be able to get close to a Slava in the first place. Her long range performance is just so damn consistent and she does exceedingly well as a backliner. Should be in meta. What is this inconsistency with Zao? The way you guys put it, it looks like Togo and legmod are such a massive help for Zao and although they do improve her, the improvements are not as transformative as tricked Hindy or tricked Petro. Normal Zao in needs fixing because she is bad in DD heavy MM???? Yeah it's not like she has good concealment and speed, not to mention her AP fullpen DDs at almost every range as well as HE being a strong option. Tricked and Black Zao are not significant improvements in this regard, and especially when CVs are concerned they make zero changes to this. Normal Zao is easily above Yodo, and should be in playable. How is Somers better than normal Z52 and Gearing? she's more MM dependent when it comes to getting good results, and both Z52 and Gearing are just more consistent. Somers should be low-mid playable. Yoshino fits better in competitive, I'd say she fits in quite well with the list of CAs that are also in that rank. Black Colombo is not a very interesting ship, but she should at minimum be right in front of Normal Colombo. She is a better ship, even without any changes in stat, because you ain't hitting or shit at 16km with Colombo spotter, and the 3 very good salvos provided by all 3 precice aims already propel you to 60-80k damage, not to mention the salvos in between. I'm aware she is not worth it as a t10 premium, but she still has this sizable advantage over Colombo. What is Sevastapol doing in playable? Her pen got buffed, cool, she still can't hit shit and has no damage output. Grozovoi is just agressively mediocre, there is no two ways around it. worse conceal than Bazan btw Schlieffen and Druid in niche make no sense, since they outperform almost every ship in the playable category. Schlieffen is very specalized, yes, but she is a lot more consistent than people give her for and her lategame influence is among one of the highest. The fact that people maintain high averages show that she can be consistent, she just requires patience. At minimum she is high playable, I'd argue she fits into low competitive Druid is bottom of niche because you guys don't like her? I'm not sure that's a great way to rank things. She isn't the most enjoyable destroyer, sure, but her utility in DD hunting, strong AP DPM and being annoying make her fit well into competitive. There is no reason to consider HE in the ranking, since it is a complete nonfactor in how she plays, you don't see anyone putting German cruisers and BBs lower on a tier list because their HE is bad. According to that logic Smolensk is niche because she is boring, her torps are bad, she doesn't even get 3 smokes and she can only spam at max range because many cruisers and DDs can just clap her up close. Smaland in competitive? Sure she might not be a solo farmer like Kleber, Gdansk and Bazan but she just has so much utility and good enough damage output that it makes no sense to put her anywhere other than meta. No way she is below Ragnar. What is Yueyang doing above Halland and Elbing? She should be bottom of playable at most since she compromises so much for a bit more damage on torps, and Halland is just way more useful as a radar DD in general. Niche in general is just a problematic ranking, I get the point of this tier but it is weird to put something there especially when half the ships in that tier are in between playable and competitive. If a tier list is supposed to be a snapshot of the meta, it should be just that, a snapshot. No need to complicate it with something like the niche ranking. I think niche should be completely replaced with a category for ships that are subpar and below average (Grozovoi, Venezia, probably Marseille)
