Honestly, the only feasible solution I can see is everyone determining their own limit concerning what they spend their money on. And it will obviously always be easier to boycott things you are not heavily invested in or dependent on. Personally, stopping to buy SNK, whose IPs hold a lot of sentimental value for me, has been a lot tougher than Blizzard, who haven't put out a game I enjoyed in a decade. And yeah, obviously don't shame other people. That being said, if you dropped the money on Hogwarts Legacy, don't also proclaim, how you are actually an ally. You can do one or the other.

Results, the game has a REALLY low ratio of actual people who played through the end, where game like BG3, who's way longer has better rates. Like, I don't mind if people play it, but you can't say there's no issues. As much as I hate it, I still play lol despite Riot. But I clearly don't defend it, and I know how bad they're. Also, there's TON of indie game who's , for now, have no issues of the kind. I rather play those.

The game is great. It's really fun, and is way more inclusive than it would have been if Rowling was actually involved in it.

The thing that gets lost in the controversy is that it's Trans people who are disappointed in "allies" who at the drop of a hat picked up the game. Especially when they got told that JKR gets Royalties from the franchise which she directly uses to fund groups passing laws to screw over LGBT people. So they'd make up excuse after excuse for the wizard game cause they just gotta play it. (They just need to double down or don't play it. Instead of half baked excuses.) Basically it's Chick-Fil-A all over again and While I haven't seen the absolute hate atleast not to the extent that some say. It's mostly people frustrated and disappointed in their friends or content creators who they thought they could trust cause they'd say they were allies. Then turn around and play the game while making endless excuses (But doesn't excuse the ones that are attacking anyone and everyone around them for touching the game) And I imagine one big factor that contributed to this mess is that it's mostly on Twitter and it's started boiling over into other platforms so there's just a whole lot of confusion. Just offering this perspective from a creature on Twitter endlessly as it's a little more than just "this person/company is problematic" I myself eh. Game doesn't look great. Looks like every other open world game. UI and all. It's just another AAA game like the rest only with a different coat of paint and maybe a few changes. I'm looking forward to Armored Core 6 anyways which from what I hear is coming along smoothly.
