Dynastys in English football. A 5 year period where you win the majority of league titles and at least 1 CL in that period imo. Liverpool 1975-79 Manager: Bob Paisley Keegan, Toshack, Emlyn Hughes. 3 in 5 league titles back to back European Cups Liverpool 1980-85 Manager: Paisley Players: Dalglish, Rush, Souness 4 in 5 League, 2 European Cups Man United 1996-2001 Manager: Ferguson Players: Keane, Class of 92, Yorke Cole 4 in 5 league titles, 1 European Cup, 1 Treble Man United 2006-2011 Manager: Ferguson Players: Rooney, CR7, Vidic, Ferdinand 4 in 5 league titles, 1 European Cup Man City 2017-23 Manager: Pep Players: KDB, Aguero, Haaland, Rodri 5 in 6 league titles, 1 European Cup, 1 Treble All these teams were at one point were widely accepted over Europe as the best team in the world, all were managed by an iconic manager and had iconic players for that time.

Dynasty for me is either 3 in a row in a major competition or winning the vast majority of major titles in a certain frame (lets say 4 titles in 6 years)

Correct meaning there has only been three to four dynasties all being united and one being city

2 titles of the same thing also counts as dynasty in my opinion.gsw is definitely a dynasty but with 2 wins

Barcelona was definitely an obvious dynasty. 2008-2015 (5 La Ligas including a 3 peat, 3 CLs, 3 Copa Del Rey’s etc while playing a dominant form of football), no hesitation.

Ajax definitely had a European dynasty. They won 3 European cups in a row in the 70s with Cruyff as the star player.

This Klopp Liverpool side isn’t a dynasty, but they are a great side. I’d put them on the same level as Jose’s first Chelsea era - 2 titles, 1 FA cup and 2 league cups. Klopp’s team - 1 title, 1 UCL, 1 FA cup and 2 league cups. Very similar.

To me winnnig the CL is iconic but shows less about a team than winning in the domesic league. For instance, Barca 08-11 is arguably more impressive than Madrid 15-18

So how can Harry think Chelsea for 2 years was a dynasty when Liverpool won a UCL and Prem back to back, champions of Europe, England & the World at one point and we were the most feared team in the world from 2018-2020 (2 year period)

For me theres only been 3 teams to have dynasties in England in the last 50 years. Liverpool in 70s/80s, fergie's united and then city in 10s/20s

Madrid only won the league once during their UCL three peat. During that period, Barca won the league 5 out of 7 times (RM and AM winning once each).

Between 2005-2012 there were defo two dynasties in the league and that was Man United and Chelsea. Between this time the main core of the team remained the same. United won 4 league titles, Chelsea had 3 league titles. Chelsea won 4 FA Cups, and 2 league cups. United won an additional 3 league cups. Both have a UCL a piece and played each other in the final which went to the wire. Arguably should have played each other in 2009 as well. They were defo both a dynasty. That was more comparable to the Lakers and Spurs. However, Liverpool are no where close to competing with City. It is like the Golden State vs the Cavs. The Cavs fans might call it a dynasty but history won't. But you can't treat Chelsea the same way as they won 3 titles and ended it all with a UCL.

Liverpool this era is not a dynasty and I’m saying that as a fan, but what I can say is that we were robbed of a dynasty from city’s 116 charges, and that would become a 100% fact if and when they get charged officially

Arsenal and United never ever shared a dynasty. United were the dynasty and Arsenal the great competitors. Similar to this current age, City are the dynasty , Liverpool great competitors.

I have to pull you up the lock down season was the following season this bullshit trope about us winning a covid season is utter horse shit. We were on 82 points from 29 games before lockdown we could have lost every game after that and still won the fucking league. We destroyed Man City, we were top at Christmas and then had our entire defence injured and still managed to get top 4 with two novice defenders.

I think Harry is contradicting himself with the dynasty tallk with Arsenal and Chelsea. If you look at both club's timeline, Chelsea was more successful than Arsenal so how is Arsenal a dynasty and Chelsea not, who went back to back? I think Harry is letting the Utd and Arsenal rivalry cloud his opinion.
