I think you made the right call with MT tyres, I run a Pirelli MT 285/70R17 on my 120 Prado with a +6 offset. I find the extra road noise reassuring because it reminds you that you have some decent rubber under you.

Now that is how to set up a Prado! I own a 2008 120 series TD and couldn't have picked a better rig. The only standard issue was the weight of the spare on the rear door. The vibrations over the years flattened the seal and she leaked. Nothing a new seal didn't fix though but I put a Kamar rear bar with spare and Jerry holders for water to take the weight off the door. As far as Tyre's go, I would suggest the Mickey Thompson ATZ's. An aggressive All terrain that are slightly noisier than most all terrains after they wear a bit but are nothing compared to Muddies on the Black top and they wear and perform well and in my experience don't develop micro cracks in the rubber over time. Well worth the money! Love the build Harry! I do like the Awning, no poles, awesome. I am looking into it. Cheers Mate

Can't agree more that cross over between comfort and off road ability is the hardest choice there just isn't the perfect vehicle out there. If I had the money I'd probably buy the same prado and chop it extra cab 6.5 ft tray coil suspension diff locks starting to sound right.

Can recommend the yoko muddies (for next time), quietest mud tyre i have ever run. I'm also keen to hear how the RAZRs go wear wise as I'm on the fence on those or the yokos next time based mostly on price vs noise and wear.

Love the new rig mate, not a fan of wagons but you have a bloody good setup, you are a genuine down to earth bloke and mate... don't sell yourself short, loads of people will want to see more of this style from you, sure, you're no Rhonda and Torben or Sam Eyles, but I am telling you, people will love what ever you produce, because of the way you can talk without over editing and don't over think things, dramatize or try to sell us anything. Keep up the good work Harry, and Fred and hope your spinal injury is healing well. So sorry, had to edit, I mix you up with Alex from Intents for some reason. OOPS.

That’s a great question about M/t and all terrains if you want to use muddies use them in the mud the problem is if you have to travel along way to use them in the mud on the bitumen they get compromised they start to heal and toe make then noisy and Hard this is not a good thing with all terrains you will go everywhere muddies can go with a Winch and a set of Max tracks

Looks good. Be nice if the dc hub had midi and mega fuses not just blades. I always see the bm30 as a waste on setups with lithium. It’s such a slow charge rate you don’t get one of the best benefits of lithium being the quick recharge.

Great video mate, another well documented clip. Just one thing though, if you want to keep this vehicle running good as planned, you’ve got to stop whacking it back into drive from reverse while you’re still going backwards, ( when you backed back in the suspension place car park ) good way to kill that auto mate 😄😉👍 Thanks for sharing another great clip. .....

The toyo RT's are the only tyre I'll ever buy. They're the perfect blend between highway and off road without compromise that you would even notice. Have been in mud, snow, sand, gravel etc everything and they're flawless. Best part is they're quiet as anything too.. I'm at about 30,000kms on my set and still heaps of tread left.
