Both are hypocrites and simply don’t know wtf it is that they are doing . Who tf is the finisher in this team ?? Kung fu Pandya ? Jadeja ? Axar ? You would be plain stupid to say any of those names. If you say Dube then I’d like to ask you how will you fit him in the team ? Also who is his replacement if he has a niggle ? Rohit, Yashasvi, Virat, SKY (These 4 seem to be set in gold ) Pant at no. 5 looks likely although i wouldnt have even picked him in the 15 , it’s just that there is no better wK option after Sanju . Sanju would be my first choice wk. Kungfu Pandya 🤡at no. 6 Jadeja /Axar at 7 Chahal Kuldeep Bumrah Arshdeep Now, how will you fit Dube in this mix ?? You simply can’t ! It looks like he has been picked as a replacement for pandya if he has a niggle. Ok . BIGGER QUESTION : Just look at the batting lineup , its the same fn batting line up from 2023 SF against England that managed a paltry score of 165 something except for Yashaswi for KL , Jaddu for Ashwin. Yashaswi ok but jaddu don’t think will make a huge difference. So again, what is the change ? NOTHING !

@@friend42069 This is my team : At least my team has a really strong flourish towards the end with Dube, Pandya, Rinku at 5,6,7. Top 4 is strong. My fast bowling is much stronger with sandeep sharma who can swing, Bumrah and Nataranjan for some good death bowling. I can also bowl a combination of Pandya and Dube if need be. If it's a spin friendly wicket, kuldeep and chahal will be part of my team, Sandeep sharma will be out. ‘Pant picks himself’. Why are these people acting like we haven’t seen Pant in T20 internationals and specifically wc’s where he has just been ordinary? To club him with Rohit Kohli or even Pandya and simply ignore other wk batsmen who since 2 years have been performing well is bonkers. Proper lobbying going on! Also, dropping Rinku Singh is wild and having atleast one backup opener in Gill/Abhishek is needed!

Hardik pandya is just in because we are short of options for a fast bowling all-rounder. But he would not walk into my playing XI straight away. And Pant is not an automatic pick for me. He has his liabilities in white ball cricket. Rest of the team looks fantastic.

What I was addressing was to the point that Harsha was trying to evolve his own opinion on his strike rate whilst blaming "lot of people worried about his strike rate". He could have been man enough to admit that he was one of those critics and since then he has evolved instead of pointing blame on "lots of people".

Can someone please remind me one impactful innings of Rishabh Pant in International T20s that makes him automatic pick as WK for most of the commentators? I really don't understand the hype. Rishab has only proved himself in Test format. He has struggled all his career so far in limited overs for India. Everytime I try to imagine him in white ball for India, images of him struggling to middle the ball comes to my head.

@@suryasharat He didn't become no. 1 T20I batter by fluke. He has been our best batter in the middle overs who keeps the run-rate high by attacking spinners and pacers equally and can score 40-ball centuries. If we combine Sky and Dube in the middle overs, we will have a strong batting line-up.

How does Rishabh pant an automatic pick? This is a genuine question. We aren’t gonna be facing Mohit Sharma and Venkatesh Iyer in the World Cup. Merit wise, he has simply not shown up for india consistently in T20I. How is he an automatic pick? Sure form wise he is definitely a front runner with Sanju but not automatic by any means.

Best team. Can complete 4 overs in between hardik and dube. Kohli as an opener is better. In middle overs his strike rate is too low. If pandya can bowl full overs dube and rinku can swap according to form. Instead of DK rishab pant also good choice if they need they can play

Last 4 overs are always crucial when you are on the bowling side. And to limit the opponent from scoring enough runs whether limiting them in setting a target or while defending, india really needs two bowlers who can do that & I believe it is Bumrah & Natarajan!

I am from India's beloved neighbouring country and completely agree with Harsha sb's aura comment around Kohli. I was flying to Melbourne 2 years back to watch T20 Wcup in Aus and seated next to me were 2 proud Indians from the South who were absolutely raving about SRK & y he is way more important than Kohli! My response to this blasphemy was that in big games when Indian batting would be under pressure, it would be only Kohli who'd perform and others would be back in the shed! Unfortunately I didnt know this theory of mine would unravel so brutally in front of my eyes at the MCG few days later. What a masterful knock that was! When the going gets tough only Kohli gets going!!

No one talks about Mukesh Kumar but he has done well for India in T20 and also this IPL season. I would have him in place of Siraj, who i dont think is as good in T20 as in the other formats. Rinku just has to be there. He is our best finisher. Mentality is a big factor in big tournaments and this lad has a great one. Understand Axar’s selection but he can go as a reserve player (if the option is available) and have Bishnoi/ Chahal instead. My pick is Bishnoi.

Gill not being in list make me convinced that Harsha has tried to make this as genuine as possible. Only thing I would suggest is open with Jaiswal & Abhishek and tell them to be as lethal as possible and its fine if they lose wicket ! So we have Rohit and other big names u mention come and back the team !!! So the Team doesnt collapse due to stress if we lose early wickets like in the finals ! And even if one succeeds its a bonus !
