This video aims to describe the physical geography of the beautiful Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh in India.

Himachal Pradesh sits on the section of Indian Himalayas which divides the two largest river basins in South Asia, Indus and Ganga, and serves as a meeting point for several ranges like Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal and Zanskar with Greater and lesser Himalayan ranges.
This video describes the state in two major ways, using its mountain ranges, and using its rivers and their basins.
It might get complex, but, as always, enjoy!

I am getting a lot of comments about some confusion arising for two major things: *1: "Reo Purgyil is not the highest peak, Shilla in Kinnaur is the highest peak (7025m)".* No, it is not. Reo Purgyil is the highest, at 6816m. a. First of all, Shilla is in Spiti. Here’s the location: www.openstreetmap.org/#map=13/32.4032/78.2012 I also showed it in the video at around 02:43. b. Here is the Wikipedia page of Shilla peak: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shilla_(mountain) where you will clearly find the height of Shilla is 6132 meters. c. Here’s the link to Indian Mountaineering foundation’s website: www.indmount.org/IMF/mountaineering Where if you look closely and down enough, you will find this: “ Spiti is the most barren Trans-Himalayan area. In the east, the highest peak is the defiant Gya (6794 m), still unclimbed. The controversial Shilla (6132 m) stands proudly above this valley. In the west, are the Ratang, Gyundi and Khamengar valleys. Khangla Tarbo is one of the better known peaks here. Here, too, no permits needed!”. d. Here is an actual valid list of Highest peaks in Himachal, and you will find shilla at number 40: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mountain_peaks_of_Himachal_Pradesh *2: Highest peak of Shimla is not Gushu Pishu, its Chanshal or Hatu* No, it is not. Gushu Pishu is on the border of Shimla district, here: www.openstreetmap.org/#map=14/31.7117/77.7505 Hatu is a bad answer, and there are higher peaks in Shimla district than Chanshal just around it. Krunshikring, Dodudhar, Patangridhar, rapar all are higher than Chanshal.

Bhai I have seen all your videos, you are one of the best content creator on geographical features. I have seen and followed many creators on youtube on geographica features but Your videos are truely an Indian product with smothing experience eg the bgm, the style of storytelling etc. I wish if in future you will make vidoes for whole Indian geography, Long way to go!!
