Hart to Hart Theme Music - Full Version (The Freeway Mix)

The Hart to Hart theme music, by Mark Snow, is probably the most disco sounding tune ever to accompany a TV series… so here is a C&T full version!
Starring Robert Wagner (Jonathan Hart) and Stefanie Powers (Jennifer Hart), Hart to Hart was an American mystery TV series that ran from 1979 - 1984 and was produced by Spelling-Goldberg Productions and Columbia Pictures Television. While living a wealthy glamorous lifestyle, Jonathan & Jennifer Hart would regularly solve crimes and find themselves caught up in a murder mystery. Their housekeeper, Max (Lionel Stander) and family pet dog, Freeway, would frequently assist the Hart’s in their investigations as well as ensure the smooth running of their Bel Air mansion.
For this remix, I’ve used the music from the opening and closing titles from season 2 and the piano riff from the opening of season 4. The titles were, in my view, the most memorable part of the show as they featured a montage of the Harts’ escapades while Max introduced us to the show’s premise through voice over - culminating in the classic lines…
“By the way, my name is Max. I take care of both of them - which ain’t easy; ‘cause when they met, it was murder.”

I’m surprised that this theme was never released as a 12’ or a 45 back in 1979. Or even as a single on the Billboard charts.

ALL thhe music from the tv series is PHANTASTIC. I have written to Mark Snow and a lot of record companies for publishing all the music (soundtrack) from the show. That is my biggest wish !!!! I love the music. I have selfmade soundtracks from the episodes but not perfect.... MARK SNOW publish all the HART music :)

Epic. When Wah wah pedals were pedalled into the floor. Mark Snow's variations were quite reminiscent of the era. By 1984, it was starting to sound a bit out of its time

@@Schlipperschlopper Yes I know, that's why I said by the final season in 1984 it was starting to sound a bit dated compared to other themes. The CHiPs soundtrack CDs I bought immediately they got released. That was amazing disco I agree.

Absolutely superb! I've been looking for a clean version of this theme for years without success. I absolutely love how you've found the perfect medium of bringing it fresh up to date with some deeper bass while retaining all of the qualities of the original theme. My only criticism (and it's probably really down to personal taste) is I think I'd have preferred it without the Max monologue and to kave kept it purely instrumental. It hasn't stopped me looping over and over however.

I so agree. It has all the earmarks of a disco tune. I am glad you put this together. Very Cool. The Love Boat theme also has Disco undertones and there is a radio version sung by Jack Jones on KZfaq that is very disco.

Great mix! One of my all time favorite opening themes. I heard Dj Pippi play a track with the string section sampled and it rocked. Still looking for that track and stumbled across yours. Love it!!

Absolutely love it! Can you create another using Jonathan and Jennifer dialogue please? Give it a Power Themes 90 feel. Love the use of Max's intro, but I'd like to hear Stefanie and RJ. Thank you!

Nice promo for Columbia Pictures Television (studio behind Hart to Hart from 1982-84; Rona II and S-G IAW them) at the bottom left of the splash screen (albeit not having the Coke byline of the time). Also, love the extra verse of it at around the 3:22 mark-- had never heard the theme that way before.

Awesome.. great mix.. i love it.. great work.. thank you sooo much :) Iam a fan from the first telecast in Germany 1984.. from this time Iam looking for all the music from the series. But no one can help... title themes (orig.) without Max voice and the orchestral music score inside from the show... But i dont give up.. I have written to Mark Snow so many times.. no answering.. Did u know Mark Snow is also the genius composer of The X-Files theme? Other greats are Starsky and Hutch, The Love Boat, Dynasty, Cagney and Lacey and Pee Wee's Playhouse.

season three's middle, about ep 11 has a slightly different version of the theme song, when Max appears in the credits in Halloween costume, there's a vocal or high pitch sound and a few other additions before that not in the early season three credits!
