Harvard Law School Vlog | 📕A day on-campus!

Hi, I'm back! Spend a day with me on campus and then eating ice cream. :) Constructive comments are also always welcome. Send me your ideas for any more content you’d like to see!
A little more on the empty schedule-I struggle with constantly comparing myself to others, and being at Harvard doesn't make unlearning that easy. This semester, I'm trying to focus just on myself and what makes me happy, instead of trying to keep up with what everyone else is doing or just doing what a law student should be doing. I'm realizing that time is precious, and to try to spend every second of every day being better in treating myself kindly, in developing and maintaining my relationships, and in being the truest version of myself I can be.

Apologies in advance for the long comment. I’m headed to HLS this fall after deferring a year. Recently, a friend asked me if I watch vlogs from HLS students. I told her no, they usually just stress me out. Other people have been asking me about XYZ specificities of my move. I have so much fear about moving to Boston and about law school, so I’ve been avoiding anything related to life at HLS like the plague (yay avoidance). Your video happened to pop up and I just clicked it to give it a try and I was so so so pleasantly surprised. It sounds dumb but I feel so much more receptive to law school now. Your honesty and vulnerability are SO refreshing and compelling; the work-life balance, prioritization of food and rest, and gentleness with how you explain your day and your intentionally lighter schedule are all things I want to prioritize in law school. This video was so calming and wonderful and I just want to give you a huge kudos for it. Can’t wait to stalk through your page and watch the next one!!! (btw love your texas sweatshirt, i’m a ut grad 🤘🏼) (also was it that video of the guy explaining zero knowledge proofs for different ages?)

First, oh my gosh this is so sweet! And second, never, ever apologize for anything you don't need to apologize for, and third, huge congrats! I hear you-I felt the exact same about law school and moving up here, and it was definitely a learning curve getting to this point. Law school can be a lot and easily overwhelming, so I think the key is definitely taking it day by day and focusing on doing what makes you happy! This is still something I'm continually working on, and it's something I think will be a forever process. Also, HUGE HOOK 'EM, I'm a longhorn too!! So excited for you- let me know if you ever need help with anything/just want a friendly ear or face, and know that you already have a friend here :)

Well thanks for sharing your law journey in this vlog. It was interesting. I'm glad you are able to manage classes according to your happiness level. As you showed that you limited classes to 2 that day. Is it that stressful since you did limit it? That pasta came out really good. Looked delicious. Sending best wishes for peaceful living.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Sal! Last semester I was pretty overwhelmed and wasn't able to devote the right amount of time to my classes that they deserved. Two per day is usually typical for law school-it's really the credit hours that matter the most! I'm hoping that this semester I'll be able to really enjoy going to class and learning the material.

Call mom and dad while walking isn’t a baby😂😂😂😂!!!!!!!!!! It’s really nice to share trifle stuff to parents. Btw, the background music compared with your speaking is tooooo loud. Lol. It might be better to control the music and speaking in the same Voice. (Hope my suggestion is clear and not offend 😥 I’m not sure my grammar is correct.)
