I fuck with Savon and appreciate his Beyonce take. With that being said I find it ironic that he doesn't understand why engagement is down with the podcast. He's literally guilty of the same thing with his fans. He let the trolls and negative commenters force him to no longer engage with fans of the show. I remember the days when you could get a response on all platforms from Savon. Now it just feels like the pod is to big to engage with us.

Woman listener here.. I’m going to do a little homework of my own on the comments surrounding the pods I watch (all relevant platforms who branched from Joe Budden, whorrible, 85 south etc) and update but I have some input/inquisitions for now… Engagement = investment = commitment I think women in general are more communicative and intuitive and that translates to our commitment and support of what we consume… we’re eventually emotionally tied in.. men tend to engage with everyone more simply and matter of factly, not typically in the way women elaborate and leave much for open ended “engagement”

As a fan, however… I wouldn’t describe this podcast to lack that. However as a fan, I can’t say you DONT have an all woman aesthetic team, but I don’t assume you do. It’s my suggestion you find an area that aesthetically attracts female consumers .. for example, say you give up ALL your male team input in just one area that would be pushed to consumers. If it’s just for subscriptions to patreon/discord, let a female team with like Weezy and Reggie rebrand the aesthetic of your set.. fuck what Alex and savon say too. (No disrespect just suggesting how to up your check lol😂) If it’s merch, let a team of fashionable women design your merch (hands extended to angel Reese to get hands in your merch pot would go crazy) If it’s tour, reach out to your female podcasters to “pod-crash” your shows in their city and let your teams mesh the aesthetics to push the promos But i think the way women put things together is in a manner to be consumed (even on a small scale, food & vag) and they will consider savon and Alex in innovative ways that they wouldn’t have if just simply given the decision themselves (we turn bachelor pads into homes and inflate the vision like this often)

You guys are an amazing, CHILL podcast but the aesthetics are only chillin too. It’s great to be fans of people who are “cool&chill” but creators who we look at even as our homies who ain’t our homies, isn’t necessarily synonymous with what you spend as a consumer when you brand yourself within your own life. I can love y’all as homies on that green couch…. But i don’t wanna buy that green couch for my house and I wouldn’t pay to go see that couch on stage either. No disrespect it just doesn’t always translate in the same area. So find that area and add more women

I like Beyoncé as a fan, but Savon is very correct. Her image has been cleaned up so much and overly managed it don't seem real anymore. I think the backlash from her BLM support causing her sales to dwindle has made her team to overcompensate, they got her looking like a wooden idol with no feelings. Manufactured, even the music sounds stale for me. Im a straight black man who fell in love with her music for a long time, but it seems she decided to pivot and focus on the alphabet+ people audience.
