He had a crew of people walking around outside of his hidey spot while he was being stealthy trying to catch the animal. It took like a week before he decided that maybe he would have more luck if they werent there and then 5 minutes after they leave the animal shows up. This is the kinda stuff you see in the movies.

I'm from the west coast of Newfoundland and I've been guiding people on moose hunting trips every fall for past 15 years. In a extremely remote portion of the long range mountains only accessible by float plane/ helicopter. And I myself have saw white wolfs on a few occasions. I've never managed to get a picture tho. Usually too far for my camera. But easily recognized through binoculars. They deffinetly were not coyotes, I've saw 1000s of coyotes in my years and trapped 100s. What I saw was definitely a wolf. Edit: I have a picture of one now.

@@hughjanus1135 Idolatry is worshipping something/someone as your God, if you are referring to idolatry from the Bible, I'm pretty sure that is the majority of the meaning. But even idolatry in the modern English-language sense could be loving someone in an extreme sense. Which love could be a bad thing if the love extends to idolatry/worship. It seems to me like she is just a big fan, and being someone's idol is something many people these days are proud of and many people have idols yet are not quite committing idolatry if that makes sense.

There are definitely wolves here in NL. There is so much untouched forest they could be hiding in there is no way the fur traders of back then could kill them all. Before coyotes came here in the 80s, only wolves (and black bears, which I forgot about. Once again black bears would probably try live off berries to avoid moose if they can.) could take on the caribou and moose basically meaning free, nearly exclusive food for them, not to mention the fact that it would probably take a pretty big pack of coyotes to take down even a younger moose as moose are deadlier than even the local black bears.

Simply looking at the way that animal runs its obviously a wolf. Obviously not a fox for multiple reasons and not a coyote because coyotes don't have that sort of running gait. Wolves run with long strides lowering/stretching their necks and heads in each stride.

Forrest did an episode on the so-called "extinct" Cape Lion. There is an episode of the old "Lassie" series (with Jeff, NOT Timmy) called "The Lion, " dated 1954 The plot in a nutshell is this: Jeff and Lassie are in the woods and come upon a lion. No one believes them. Later on, Jeff's mother and grandfather leave the farm, leaving Jeff and Lassie and Jeff's friend, Porky, and Porky's Basset Hound, Pokey, alone on the farm. The lion pays a visit. You get an exceptionally good view of the lion as it crosses into the property--huge dark mane, very long, extending between the front legs and all along the belly to end between the back legs. Now this was no doubt a zoo specimen, but if this is not a Cape Lion I miss my guess. You can find this episode on youtube and sometimes old Lassie episodes are run on TV. Look this up and see if you agree with me.

Yeah they introduced coyotes on the island a while ago when the wolves went extinct. A lot of them were eastern coyotes. Some maybe even were eastern wolves, which are near impossible to tell apart form a coy wolf, unless you look at its DNA
