I had to return my Invincible 3's. The heel lift caused blisters along the Achilles/heel. I tried utilizing the runners knot, but that still wasn't sufficient to prevent my heel from lifting. I tried a variety of socks and just couldn't find the right combination. For what it's worth, I'm a larger runner @ 6'5", over 200 lbs, and a size 13 (US) shoe. At first I thought it was me, due to my size. I figured I might be compressing the foam too much which had my foot traveling vertically along the heel collar. As I read more and more online reviews and see videos from various shoe reviewers, I know that I'm not alone in my experience with the Invincible 3. The upper was also somewhat less plush/comfortable and was more 'abrasive' by way of comparison to version 1 and 2. Again, I tried all manner of socks to see if I could get the right fit dialed in without luck. While the upper wasn't necessarily a 'deal-breaker' for me, I did expect more or better. Fingers-crossed that the next-gen Vomero will be a good one. Until then, I'll likely go hunt down a few pairs of Invincible 2's or Glideride 3's as others have stated.

To be fair I would expect any outsole to still be like new after only 82 miles especially on a shoe designed for those longer run distances at slower paces as its not supposed to be a race day offering. I've gone for the Nimbus 25 over the Invincible as the Nike offering just didn't get me going this time around. Interesting to hear Si's struggles with that upper because nobody wants those sorts of issues. I would 100% agree about picking up a pair of Glideride 3's now the price is coming down. I'm just about to hit the 200 mile mark in mine and they still feel fantastic and are super comfortable over all distances 👍🏻

How is the Nimbus 25 outsole doing after 100 miles? I quite love the comfort but don't want it ending up like my current 1080v12 and my previous pair wearing out less than 35 miles. My Asics Kinsei Blast is still doing good.

It's a lifestyle shoe. That's who Nike is targeting. This is far too flawed for serious runners to consider.

Went out for my first run in mine this morning and did 10k. It’s really shocking that you can feel the heel problems just walking around the house. Did nobody test these when designing them? Managed to lock down with a runner’s knot but had to over compensate and pull laces really tight. Now have a sore ankle post run. At times these shoes felt really nice but spent half the time worrying about the lock down and my feet. Not ideal. Will have to figure out how to make these work. Not what it says on the tin - just a faff at £170.

I'm still a bit in doubt about currently needing a max cushion shoe when we have so many other funnier and lighter options that still have good cushioning + other qualities.... and I say that being a heavy runner (99kg), but currently I really like endorphin speed 3 for easy and long runs (and the shoe can handle many other different types of runs too)

I just got an invincible 2 for $127 CAD=USD $90, women size 10 which is the same as mens size 8.5. Can’t wait to try them on. I already has NB more V3 and Adidas prime X as my max cushion shoes, I don’t really need another one, but I am a sucker for bargains.

86 miles in my Invincible v3’s. Had heel slip and these were actually the first shoes I’ve ever had to use a runner’s knot in. That solved the problem for me however. Currently using them for recovery/easy runs and have been pleased, don’t want to use my NB more v4s over these as they have a bit more bounce. That said they definitely are way less bouncy and soft than v1/2.

I’m the worlds biggest fan of the invincible run 1 and 2 But the the 3 was terrible I sent them back Less bouncy , less soft , way too stiff , heel slip The Worst up date to a running shoe Iv experienced Was so disappointed

Decided not to buy 3 and got new balance fresh foam more v4 instead. Like the NB for comfort, stability and it can be increased to tempo pace if you really want although just using for easy runs

I wish they put a standard Flyknit upper like that was on Epic React or something similar. I also liked the FK upper on Infinity Run OG. Hopefully, they will fix the upper on the next version. I am thinking PUMA ForeverRun Nitro might be a good alternative as well.

Bought the Invincible 2 coming off of Haglund’s/Achilles Debridement surgery. When I can out of the boot it was the only shoe that didn’t just crushed my heel. Other shoes I ended the day in horrible pain. Used them in my return to run plan and slowly worked my way back up. What can I say they were great. I am now running in the Triumph 20’s as I have traditionally always enjoyed a slightly firmer cushioned shoe. However, I still pull the 2’s out here and there for recovery runs. I do not see myself purchasing the 3’s. I would like to try the Nimbus 25’s after my Triumphs are done.

In the Nike range I would get the infinity react 3 over the invincible run 3, other wise try other shoes like novablast 3, puma velocity nitro 2, Hoka Clifton 9, or new balance more v4

Fordy why don’t you buy an invincible’s 3 pair for review? If you don’t like them or whatever just return them. I just watched all of your KZfaq ads for this video. Should amount to some funds to get your self a pair. Cause this shoe is in the category if it’s that bad, I need to try it out, just to end my curiosity’s and debate.

I don’t think Simon understood the purpose of this shoe. It should not “recoil/respond”, as the purpose of the shoe is for articulation recovery/rest while active. Any type of feedback would be rough on your knees for example. I don’t think this shoe was made for heavy runners or beginners as they will feel like they are running in the mud. I would recommend this shoe for advanced runners.

Just wondering at what price point should it be to get the best value for your money so to speak since it really works for me but having 2nd thoughts about the price given the other options on the same price point? Though i think nike philippines will be having a special sale for it's members at 30% off next week... that'll be about £108 more or less

Last year, I only had a Pegasus 39 FlyEasy from Nike. This year, I might not get the Pegasus 40 since it seems to be the exact same shoes from last year. And after this "fiasco" about this Invincible 3 ... The only shoes from Nike that I could be really interested to buy, but I will have to see the reviews, is the Vomero 17 . Will see if Nike will keep the Vomero as something lighter and versatile to compete with the new Adidas Ultraboost Light or if it will be another super high cushioning attempt from then.

Agree with everything you say.Not an easy day shoe not a long run shoe and not a fast shoe .Absolutely loved the 2 but they have ruined it with the 3,Upper is horrible and they have lost that lovely soft bounce the 2 had.

@@FordyRuns I have a pair of Alphafly 2. I ran a marathon in those when they were almost new and ended up in black toe nails. Now I use them for long runs and only at 200+ km they feel a bit more comfortable.

I loved the Invincible 1's had over 300miles in a pair, picked up the Invincible 2's and didn't find them amazing. I haven't picked up version 3's yet but hoping they are a lot better but on the fence now to even bother.

Invincible 2 is in my rotation. It's not a great easy day shoe as the zoom x really eggs you on. I'm not sure if I'd buy them again but they are enjoyable overall. V3 is a pass for me.

Brutal. Sandpaper 😄😄 Hopefully they get the message. Greedy corporates. Putting exhorbitant price tag while keeping production cost low to their 3rd party factories which are based in Vietnam/China/Indonesia. Usually their cost per pair was 1/10th the list price.
