This is the official clips channel for Hashtag United, the one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 22/23 we won the Isthmian League North title after going on a run of 21 straight league wins. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after we won the league in 22/23. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, as well as an inclusive and walking football setup. Subscribe on KZfaq for our latest football content (and watch our journey so far), and follow our social channels for the latest club updates.

Players are now on the beach it seems. Embarrassing way to blow what should have been a routine win.

Yeah this game was awful. Embarrassing performance from the senior lads.. really disappointing. Both huge lapses in defense, and missing some good chances on attack. We're missing a degree of clinical and critical thinking. The young lads looked really good and the rest of the team let them down.

The legend

This Manager clearly was unwilling to take any of the blame for 'changing the shape' at half-time. Such changes should only be implemented with clear instruction or the players fully understanding their responsibilities. This was not the case. Coaches should know their players and their capabilities to take such instruction.. Additionally, honesty is required - if the Manager has made errors, he should admit it. A rant at full-time is never productive - tired players can not take in the tirade of abuse or criticism. Coaches should be positive and make only one or two general comments - that is all that the players can programme. Good coaches with a knowledge of sport science (exercise physiology, psychology and biomechanics) are essential at this level - and those without these assets should be dumped.

A change in shape does not stop players getting up to head a ball. What you on about? Spoken like somebody who knows nothing about coaching or management.

@@SirMonkeySuit I use an alias name, but I do know a little about sports team management (Loughborough Sport Science degree and 30 years of post-graduation experience; County Director of Sport; Senior oversight of National Coaching Foundation and CEO of Institute for Sport developing performance and excellence - and played football professionally and for England U17, England Amateurs and England Universities).

Don't know why he brought his kid on at HT tho. U don't normally bring kids on with 45 to go while only 2-0 up. That change of shape and personal killed HTU
@winkles2314
@winkles2314 Ай бұрын
He brought his kid on (a forced change because of an injury to Cornish) when they were 1-0 up and he assisted the second goal. The change of shape was working perfectly until the back line decided to go on holiday.

@winkles2314 I mean surely someone like Luke May Parrott would have offered a lot more to actually see the game out... especially since the other team had a team that couldn't pass water.

Ellis was not the problem at all... Got an assist and as Devs said did everything needed of him but the defence switched off. Regardless of the change of formation it's crazy that suddenly the players can't mark a man and give up 3 free headers
@winkles2314
@winkles2314 Ай бұрын
@@liamchapman8693 I doubt it, because Luke May-Parrot is also not a defender and doesn’t account for lapses in defensive focus. We still concede plenty of goals when he plays lol
