Those heels look so fun! I have a headband with that pattern. I'd love to see them in an ootd, because it's the kind of thing I find really cool but would not know how to wear without looking like a dotty grandma.

a tip for your Lucky shorts, hang to dry! they arent supposed to fray any more, but I've had a few women bring them back and return them because that had happened in the dryer. also a tip to anyone who buys Lucky jeans, if they do rip or tear from wearing them, take them back and exchange them! its a company policy to do so!

I bought a pair of $7 high waisted jeans from a thrift store and then cut them to the length I wanted. I love them!

i'd say make your own distressed pair of shorts! you are pretty much guaranteed to find high waisted pants at thrift stores and you can just bleach and cut them!! its pretty easy and you can get them to look more like what you want! i always had a problem with thrift store jeans being too big but i found some in the boys section that fit well!

i know you aren't a fan of abercrombie and fitch, but they have this lovely high waisted denim shorts. they fit perfectly and are of modest length.

My tip for high-waisted shorts that don't show your butt: stores that are marketed toward older women that you would never think of going in to. My fav shorts are high three button sailor shorts that I found at some store my mom was shopping at.

You could try American Apparel for the shorts! I just got a pair myself, but ended up going a size larger than all the sales associates reccommended. I'm the same about not wanting to show off anything - I'd rather have comfort and functionality. They're on the pricy side, but if they're what you're looking for there's an idea! :)

THRIFT SHOP! Then DIY them! Or try looking in unconventional sections for them. I got my favorite pair of high waisted shorts (they're not denim though. They're navy and covered with little anchors!) in the old lady's section at kohls. So yeah.

Urban outfitters has a great pair of cuffed destroyed high waisted shorts that are slightly acid washed :) I didn't think I would like them but there actually not very short and they look really cool with everything :) there from the brand bdg

Go to salvation army, they have so many old pairs of high waisted jeans, and you can make cutoffs!

I completely understand your difficulty in the search for high waisted distressed denim shorts that don't show off your ass. Why would someone want that? I see way too many people wearing them, that's not something I want to see when I'm out and about
