Must be a really good time back in the early 2000’s. Yessir keep on yanking tankers 😁

I did that run more then 40 years ago, it was just a 2 lane highway then, hauled out of Imperial Oil and the from Ft Saint John North the dirt road was more like a Driveway trail then.
@DRodTrucking2 ай бұрын
Wow! I’m glad you saw this video then. You’re one of the OG’s. Just dropped a load of diesel in Fort St. John from Edmonton. What company did you work for?

Uhhh...you wouldn't want to be trying that manouver in the winter! ALWAYS unload the pup first - back to front! If it was slippery or if anything went wrong with the pump etc. and you couldn't unload the whole unit, you'd be stuck, literally and figuratively. Retired now but 34 years experience talkin' here.😊
@DRodTrucking2 ай бұрын
Yes thanks for the reminder but I do know that. It’s actually that one time that I did it because winter is done and I just felt like doing it 😁🤷🏻♂️

Hauled drilling mud from Red Deer to Ft Nelson, also a Super B's, safe travels,now officially retired after 40 years driving tractor trailer and enjoyed it a lot especially the changing office views
@derekhorlock19762 ай бұрын
And they weren't always 4 lanes, mostly 2,4 lanes ended about 10 to 15 miles north of Hyw 16 I believe, and I see they cut a couple of corners on Taylor Hill in the winter I found that to be one of the worst up or down, memory fails me sometimes,Eh I'm 65 😂😢
@derekhorlock19762 ай бұрын
Back again 😂, WOW even fixed the Sikanni Chief too,nice
@DRodTrucking2 ай бұрын
Yes that’s what they tell me too hwy 43 was only 2 lanes before but it’s 4 now just until you get to beaverlodge. It’s definitely still one of the worst especially going south taylor hill going up that corner that they call driveshaft corner I believe has broken down lots of trucks 😅 but they do a pretty good job of keeping it always cleaned up in the winter time.

Looks like an entry log and a loading and unloading fueling checklist is needed. If it’s not in writing it never happened. Interesting no ppe when unloading,no fire extinguisher, no safety eyewear,no hard hat.
@DRodTrucking2 ай бұрын
Of course I had a checklist can’t load without that and bulk plant knows I’m coming and they had a copy of bol already they’re okay with me unloading by myself. In refineries of course you need to have complete ppe but unloading I just always wear coveralls gloves and steel toed boots and yes I should be wearin em I know and also there’s a fire extinguisher in both my trailers in my truck and they have one there too camera just didnt see it.
