As far as I can tell, this person is selling you a spirit WITHOUT a doll. Just the spirit. They’re not even shipping you an empty box - they’re just saying you’ll feel it’s presence when it’s been delivered. I’m 99% certain that’s against eBay’s policies, and it might even be illegal.

I mean, on one hand, it super should be illegal, but also, people can sell fucking rocks off the ground for hundreds of dollars if they want to, capitalism is fucked to begin with

I don't think it's illegal bc the seller can't be proven to be lying, and the buyer doesn't think they're getting anything more than a spirit that may or may not actually exist. If the buyer is actively choosing to buy something not provably real, they can't complain when that's what they do get.

Its absolutely against eBays policies, yeah. IIRC, it was actually taken down by eBay sometime since this episode (not necessarily BECAUSE of the episode).

The joke about the wolf and the chickens can't be in the same basket absolutely killed me it's not a deep cut exactly bc it's such a well known logic puzzle/riddle or whatever but ive never heard it casually referenced in a joke either and so perfectly and travis perfect follow up too
