Old cemetaries are beautiful. Sometimes, on old tombstones you cannot read, you can place a piece of paper over the stone and rub a pencil over it. The faint writing on the stone may show up this way.

Gloria Hanaway - I hear putting foil over the stone and using a fine haired brush makes a pretty decent impression as well.

I now own the house we moved into in December1987. It was built in 1913. The old (now deceased) lady that lived in the house right behind our house told me that an old woman died in our house back in the late 1940's. A few years later a young boy died in our house. I think their spirits are still here. We can't see them but our cats seem to watch something float across the room.

Thank you Cliff another great story/history lesson. We go from where she was horribly murdered to her resting place. So young, so sad. I doubt it's her spirit that's been seen, she went on to a better place with better things to do then haunt some woods near a train track. On the other hand, what has been seen is her killer stuck in limbo right there damned to suffer for all eternity. One can hope.

A small flashlight slanted across the lettering on old tombstones works pretty well. If you try to get the moss off first be very gentle as the rubbing can take off the crumbly old surface too if you're not careful.

If you are interested in seeing old graveyards, PLEASE READ THIS. So many old graves are losing the ability to read what is / was on the gravestone. It would be really great if we could come together to have small plaques made for each of them in order to help identify whose grave it is. I think whoever owns / manages the grave should have records on who is in each grave. I am sure some graves may be so old that there is no way to find out. However it would help preserve the info we can read and or find out about each grave, for future generations. I have no idea on the cost it would take to have a small plaque made. However if we came together as a community, I am sure donations and fundraisers could help cover the cost. Maybe starting with the older graves and posting info on where families could have plaques made for their loved ones, whom they visit. It's only a good idea if many people help to come together to make it happen. I am disabled and low income. However it is heartbreaking to see videos of older graves that are in such bad shape that they are falling apart and or hard to read.

Tha with the orb is interesting.. The ghosts want to talk ore make themself "understood".. but the les they are seen or heard they more ggresive they can be Here in Germany i readed some old stories whr some people came into the mental hospital because they made experiance with ghosts It sais the darker the ghost is the bader he is at all..white ghosts (white womans are here also often seen)are almost redeemed. They say : Dont go there it throws with stones wooden tings or so after you.. And some people that have sen it themself..they say if they dont react the more flies after threm. Alo houses were set on "ghost fire" or real fire..where nobody saw how. Sometime in that case a head looked out of a upper level in bigger houses.. My english is not good enough anymore to tell all i know.. have many tories here and many ghost-things.

Her actual name was probably Bauer. Bauer is Ashkenazi, [German and Jewish] I saw lots of those kind of gravestones in Schuylkill county when I visited there. And there was the 'Kaufman' in this same cemetery. Seems a mix, as PA was...

Hi Leisa and Barb: In Germany on old Gravetones are often U and V the same.. Im no profeional historian but i am very interested in old history. We have here in the town a really old cemetery the oldest gravestone are from the 16.Century. In other ol cemeteries are many from the 17. until late 19.Century. On some are almost a little lifetimehistory of the peoples.

Does the wandering woodsman wear his mask in public these days? Sure hope not since he seems like a pretty intelligent being.. I doubt beautiful adeline would be caught wearing one
@robertbiesecker96134 жыл бұрын
Adleline Baver, doesn't haunt those woods. The Bible says that the dead know nothing. It also says that the dead can not interact with the living. The bible tells us that the dead have no part with, or among, the living. THEN THAT BEGS THE QUESTION, THEN WHAT ARE GHOSTS? They are fallen Angels. The bible tells us that Satan and his fallen Angels are here on the earth. They are trying to get human beings to doubt the word of God, and thus follow them, and there leader Satan, instead of following the creator of the universe God. So according to God's word, the dead can not interact with the living. So if you are seeing something that looks like a person who has died, it has to be Satan, and his fallen Angels, otherwise, the word of God is a lie, Satan is trying to get human beings to doubt God, and his word! THINK ABOUT IT!
