I wasn’t prepared for videoing today but I happened to turn up just in time. I wish I could have stayed to see the Pelican of London depart but I ran out of time.
I was pleased to meet Marilyn and hubby (sorry I did not get your name). Always so nice to meet folk who love Sharpness as much as I do.
If you watch to the end there is some information about a Sharpness event coming up.
New update :- later that day. The Pelican of London didn’t leave Sharpness. She went out into the river and came back in again.

I am wondering what that forward exhaust is . Do these small coasters have diesel bow thrusters? I only worked on ocean going ships with electric bow thrusters.

Yes she has a diesel bow thruster you can see it working when she was just leaving the internal lock.

We visited Sharpness today too, I took some photos of 'HAV ZANDER' at it's mooring but had no idea it was leaving today. What time did it go please? It was still there when we left just before 2pm.
