We recently stayed at Haven Riviere Sands in Hayle, Cornwall and in this video I show you what we got up to during our visit, and give you a tour around the park, showing you the main facilities and what we enjoyed doing while we were there.

We had a fab time too. It's probably in my top five parks, just a shame the restaurant is off site. The entertainment crew made it for us, they were so good with the kids.

Thank you. Yes, this was late April/early May. The weather was nice and it's a lovely resort. I would happily go back there. The beach is beautiful, and it wasn't packed to the rafters. If the 'Alan Carr' host is still there, he was brilliant.

Gosh, that beach could be in Feuteventura! ‘The holiday you don’t want to come home from’, yes, unlike Pontins where you can’t wait to get out of the place to feel clean again 😂

😅😅 the beach was beautiful, the sand was like sugar - but we found it everywhere for days.

We had a fab time, I just wish it was a bit closer. The entertainment staff were fantastic, so friendly and amazing with the kids. 😊

Thanks for the great video, we've never visited Riviere Sands before and usually go to Perran Sands but notice there is quite a difference in price. How would you rate them against each other if you don't mind me asking? Thanks.

Riviere is smaller and much quieter than Perran. The restaurant not being on site isn't ideal for everyone, but didn't bother us as we self catered. I liked the small park charm at Riviere, but there was much more to do for the kids at Perran.

It was lovely, one of my favourite resorts so far, and that beach was amazing 😊

Loved that video. We’re thinking of booking here. Haven’t been to this one before so your video was a little gem! How difficult a walk is it to get down to the beach and back up on foot please? I know for me Perranporth was so difficult just for me to get back up to the caravan. So, if I can avoid another hellish trek back up, I absolutely will! Many thanks 💗

Also, I noted you said your caravan was upgraded. Was your original caravan a bronze sea view, and was the upgrade a bronze sea view too? Both vans look significantly different.

The beach access from the park was quite difficult. You took two steps up and slid three back down. But there is better access from the restaurant nearer the beach (with free parking).

I'm pretty sure we booked a saver, and we were given a bronze sea view. The upgraded caravan was stunning.

It took us ages. And the more you slide back down, the more tired you get. They need proper steps.

Thank you for this video! I was born in St Ives Cambridgeshire so I'd love to go and visit St Ives in Cornwall as the view and beach look lovely! However I have 4 children, my two eldest always want to be busy and this park to me seems quite small with not much to do for the older kids. Do you agree? I was considering either Perran Sands or Riviere Sands xx

This park is very quiet and peaceful, if you have older children I would definitely try Perran (I'm currently editing a video of our week there), it's a much bigger park and more lively for older children and teens. The beach there was beautiful too 😊
