Alannah Pierotti The thing is it would of been more realistic for Steve to lay all his cards on the table. He had nothing more to lose, the ring is in your pocket, it may not be the perfect time, place or circumstances but that's life it's not always perfect, life doesn't work that way. Most when would have just proposed, you don't just let someone that you love so much leave like that, have some balls please & fight for her, give her a reason to stay. Plus he could of said I'm going with you then to help, I love you too much to let you go, then what was she going to do & say, it would of come out why she was leaving. The thing is that he didn't have the right security clearance to be briefed on the mission, she would have committed treason if she had told him. But she wouldn't have been able to really tell him, but she then could have decided to stay. What I didn't like on the 150th episode was that when they briefly talked when they were on there way to Morocco in a military plane, he asked if they recruited her when she was in Afghanistan before she came to Hawaii (in season 6) & she said yes, which sounded like your telling me that you came back & you knew you were leaving again & decided to rip my heart out again sounded pretty bad, they shouldn't have written the episode like that it was torture to fans that love McRoll because it throws off the whole love story between them, which was so confusing because of the way there story has been told, you can't just have the characters say things in previous episodes & then make everything seem like a bunch of lies. It's not staying true to either one of there characters, it's stupid. It's not in Catherine's character to have done any of that & I'm going back to the start of season 6 even season 5's season finale, because it goes back to that because there painting Catherine as a liar if she knew she was leaving when she came back to Hawaii. It's just wrong.

@Carla Oliveira: Well, I was upset that the writers handled the plane scene, too. But to be honest, they can't resolve everything in one episode. As a show's writers, they need to tell a long-term story and drag the story long so that viewers don't just watch one ep & be done with it. Personally, I think, as this storyline hasn't been over yet, maybe at this point, Catherine still hasn't been able to tell Steve about the real reason why she left in the first place (603). Maybe she hasn't done with her mission yet, aka technically, it is still a secret. I don't buy that she left him of her own will. I think Steve should definitely man up and at least tell her how he still feels about her. But he was a coward even back in 603, when she said "I'll always love you", and he didn't say anything back. And this time, she said "Just because I'm not in your life anymore, doesn't mean I don't still care about you" & he still kept silent. Wtf? Steve's such a coward, I hate that the show always paints him as the victim and paints Catherine as the evil in this relationship. Anyway, I love 707 and to me, it's probably the best episode ever of the entire show (because I love Doris, too). I didn't expect much out of this episode, considering I knew Catherine coming back wasn't for McRoll, it was for a mission; but in fact, this episode gave me so many feels. And joys. It was totally beyond of my expectation, and in a very good way. I don't agree with everything the writers wrote, but I'm grateful they wrote it that way - especially when they wrote how classy Catherine was, and how real McRoll's relationship was.

Your Right he should of man up. I had the feels when he asked her 'If I did asked you what would of been your answer' and when she said 'I would of said yes'you could tell that Steve knew he made the wrong choice and should of asked her.She did say she needed something more to come back too. When and If she did come back she would of never known if Steve waited for her.

Speaking of "The one who got away", it still has a good meaning. It hurts a lot when Alex said in the interview that "She wasn't the one who got away, she was the one who wasn't meant to be". Wth? But thankfully, Alex is just an actor and doesn't write the show. Thank God! Alex might not think so, but Steve definitely thinks of Catherine as "the one who got away", which was the best thing ever. It's time for him to go fight for her & make her stay! Or follow her, for that matter!

Well, I think sooner or later they're going to get Catherine definitively back, because if not I dont understand why they make fans suffer with her coming back and then leaving again, if its not for making a super thrilling episode in which she will be back forever

Yes, he's fake. That's the guy who played Steve McGarrett in the old version of the show. A long time ago, he passed away already. That's the way the show tributes to the dead actor. They rebuilt his face & his voice using computer & technology & such. That's all I know.

I think Alex's ego is pretty big, and he speaks out for Steve based on his personal perspective. His ego is bruised, even though he doesn't go through what Steve is going through. I totally lost respect for him when he described Lynn as "very good in bed". Having said that, if this happened to him in real life, he would definitely say the same thing - that's what I think. He's not loyal as Steve. I was so mad he thought of Steve/Catherine that way. And yes, to me he's an idiot for not at least fighting for her, to keep her stay! Or at least tell her he wants her to stay. Damn.

I agree that Steve should be willing to fight for the woman he loves and also think he wouldn't have bought Catherine's running aid for disaster relief story. She is not so insecure that she had to run off to make any life of her own separate from Steve. As far as Alex's opinion, I wish he thought the woman you have been in love with for years (or at least acting like it since they were living together) is worth fighting for. He also should see the perspective that Steve had not given Catherine any reason to stay since he had made no commitment. He should have proposed long ago. The writers really screwed up this relationship. Whatever either of their opinions of the fictional relationship are, the two actors play the couple very well. Fans who hate MB say they had no on screen chemistry, but i don't know what show they must have been watching.

Yes, that part implied that "she was the one who got away" (Google the phrase, it is a nice phrase with nice meaning). I'm quite surprised to read Alex's interview - what he thinks is just... wrong. Maybe after all, he doesn't know his character because of their different views on things. I'm not sure what you meant about "the actor and character best get on board", because clearly they don't. I'm even more surprised after watching 707, because "Steve moving on" is not what I've seen on screen. Everything is just so confusing, reading interviews & watching the actual show... But I'm glad that Peter Lenkov made it very clear that the story with Catherine isn't over. I don't think things will go anywhere with the FBI profiler though (I dont even watch so... dont trust me hahaha). PL teased the exact same thing abt the girl in ss5 - I dont remember her name, didn't watch.
