Just now when I was watching this clip, right before Hawke let Sawyer's B-25 pass him, I was hearing Maverick and Jester from _Top Gun:_ "I'm gonna _hit the brakes, he'll FLY RIGHT BY!"_ (As soon as Hawke locks up Sawyer's B-25, Jester's voice): _"OKAY, YOU'RE MINE!"_

@4:22 - that's the best moment - where they keep shooting at Airwolf on the other side of those peaks, and then suddenly it's not there anymore - it's peeled away to come after them

This was my favorite show as a kid and still is as a 50 year old but this particular part always bugged me even back then. Airwolf should be doing laps around those bombers, there is no way one should ever get in behind her. Both could have been shot down without even getting close to them. I am all for dramatic fight scenes just not when it seems forced like it is here.

Not always the case, though. Several episodes, Hawke had to rely on brains, tactics and his experience. Like when Dr. Winchester tells Hawke to "Fly Cold", they had to shut down the Lady's electronics and "Orville and Wilbur time". Another episode had Hawke playing the fight even. Sometimes, though, Hawke knew he was the better pilot and gave the enemy the chance to walk away and when the other guy refused…Down comes the visor and BOOM! Or he would taunt the other pilot.

the best show in the 1980s and the best actors and actresses they need to bring this show back it use to be on on Comcast cable t.v. and they dropped or changed the net work and they use to run at least 3 to6 episodes a couple of day a week .

Used to think he was pretty ruthless as a kid because unlike knight rider, the a team etc, Hawk always killed the bad guys, although he usually gave them the option to land first, they just never took it.

I have just realised, that for the explosions of the planes, they used the same footage, but flipped it around, so they look slightly different. Shows how desperate they were to save money, shame it went the way it did, I loved this show as a kid.

Why don't YOU try hitting a moving target at 300 mph? It's not as easy as you're suggesting. That and a conventional plane really only has one effective direction - forward. A helicopter has three effective axis of direction, a huge advantage over a plane with just one direction of effective movement. Airwolf would be all over your stupid prop plane.

Hawke’s motto was that he didn’t shoot until shot at first. Even if these goons were going to murder Caitlyn & Archangel (in addition to possibly many others), but since they’re the “good guys”, they at least had to say “I tried to reason with them”.

Good scene an' all but why not fly the Lady in-between the planes while the bomb was still armed. That way the bad guys risk blowing themselves up if they continue.

This actress was also in another episode where she & some phony messiah in a secluded part of the USA built a bomber under that community’s noses & were going to blast a dam to drown it. Airwolf saved the day & her with messiah were promptly dealt a visor-missile combo for their efforts.

This episode was not as good as the others in Airwolf. Caitlin is sitting there with a bomb ticking down and Michael and the other guy just stand there watching the bomb count down. Not moving away from the bomb to cover? We are just going to stare at the timer ticking down and get blown away with her?
