I spent a couple of hours watching a pair of Red-Shouldered Hawks working on their nest. This is their second nest of the season. Their babies fell out of the first one, but they have started over in a new location.
Both of them work hard, but at about 2:07, Blondie (the light-headed male) shows up with a snake. The female comes in, takes it, and immediately leaves. I guess we know who's in charge.
I used my longest focal lengths on this ... up to 1800mm.
