An important and exciting part of travelling for me is of course, foooood! It reflects the culture of the region or the location.
In our trip to Napier, we have visited several places and extended to Hawke’s Bay. We had a mixture of eat outs and homecooked dinners.
We would have wanted to try more cafes, restaurants, bake shops, breweries, wineries etc but time did not permit.
1) Takitimu Seafoods - one of the best fish and chips that I’ve tried - not oily at all and the seasoning is just perfect. The paua-loaded fries is also yumm!
From there, we also bought crayfish, squid, and oysters for our seafood-themed dinner.
2) Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market - I loooove weekend markets so this one is definitely a must. Bought breads, crepe and herbal tea and lots of other stuff that will be featured on another video.
3) Three Wise Birds Beer Garden - good food, great setting and ambiance.
4) Rush Munro’s - ice cream and shake place with a very quaint and homey feel. Nice place to hang out!
5) Askerne - wine tasting! Award-winning place it turned out to be.
