Hello 👋🏻 do you use bus to travel from fushimi inari to gion? I would like to asked if it crowded or not. We plan to go in summer and I have a 2 years old with me. Not sure about stroller on the bus 😢

Hello! From Inari to Gion, we decided to take Uber and my other siblings took taxi. We did not have enough time to explore the bus in Kyoto unfortunately since we were pressed for time and had to prepare for our overnight bus back to Tokyo.

The location is in a peaceful neighborhood with access to buses. There’s a bus stop nearby where we rode one going to Asakusa. The nearest train station is Oku Station, which is just 5-minute walk away 🙂

Great informative video .. thanks for sharing !! It would be really helpful if you could please the following info - Did you call the road side assistance ( provided by car rental company) to rescue your car from snow stuck position ? -Did you car come with studded tire by default ? Thanks much !!

Thank you! 🙂 1) Yes, if I remember it correctly, we first called the rental company then they gave us the roadside assistance number to contact. 2) Our rental car has a snow tire, no snow chain.

@velimirgluhak hmm we’re not quite sure… we asked for one that is good for a snowy road when we rented a car in the airport. In my Lofoten video at around 1:10 mark, you’ll have a glimpse of the car that we used. Hope it helps!

Yes, we had a stop to change riders. We also had some short stops to make sure that we were keeping distance between sleighs when a sleigh in front of us got stuck and also when our guide took quick photos of us.

September to March period is the peak season for the Aurora. So yes, there’s a high chance of seeing it in January but if it would show up on the exact date, it’s very hard to tell. It would depend on the weather condition on that day.

What is it like under polar night season? Are there issues with lighting and taking good photos around the city/region?

Hello! It depends on how strong the lights are. The day before we arrived, the Northern Lights was so strong that they were able to take photos of it in the city and they were vivid. For more chances of seeing it clearly and not being drowned by city lights, best to go somewhere far from the city. Our first one, we weren’t successful even if our group went farther from the city. The second one was a success 🙂 watch out for the weather forecast, there’s also an Aurora predictor app I believe.

Hello! Thank you 🙂 We booked our second attempt via the GetYourGuide app. There were a lot of options to choose from sa app, we just picked the one that provides thermal suit and accessible pick-up/drop off point to our hotel.

How did you get the taxi in Flåm? I am going in March and want to do the viewport platform.

We got the number of the taxi from the Gudvangen Gift Shop counter, the one just outside the Viking Village. If you want to go to the viewpoint, one option is - from the Flam Information Centre, you can book a shuttle to and from the Stegastein viewpoint and also get the contact number of a taxi from there.

It depends on where you’ll be coming from or where your next stop is and the availability or schedule of your mode of transportation (bus, train or ferry/boat). If you’ll be driving, then it won’t be an issue 🙂. Enjoy your trip! 😃

@@Sindhi.Voyager A train ride from Bergen to Flam takes a little over 3 hours (visit the Rail Ninja website for the updated schedule). Aside from that, it would also depend on the shuttle/bus schedule from Flam centre to the Viking village. You may check the schedules at Norwaysbest.com website. It is possible but it would require planning and time management. All the best!
