Most likely the plastic pinion gear it came with!🤣😬 Thanks for checking it out!👊😊✌️

I bought one of these off eBay with every bolt on mod kyosho makes for it but it was too slow so I decided to try swapping in a brushless motor and esc combo and a 2s battery. But I can't figure out how to do the swap because the 27T metal pinon I bought doesnt work with the 91t spur. This is my first rc and it's driving me nuts. I think I'm going to just shelf it and buy something else.

Hi and thanks for watching! Are your spur and pinion gears the same pitch?

How did you remove the pinion gear? I’m having the same issue with the whining noise when it’s running.
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Omar! If I recall, the stock plastic pinion gear isn’t held on by a grub screw. I pulled it off with plyers because I was just throwing it out anyways. Thanks for checking it out!👊😊✌️
@omarg75094 жыл бұрын
Ok that’s what I figured because I was confused how it even came off. Thank you so much for letting me know. I also noticed the stock battery doesn’t last long about 10-15 minutes at most, I’ll definitely be replacing it with a better battery.

No problem, glad to help! I ran 2s lipo on my right away for better run times.

I’ve just put a 550 12t brushed motor in my monster tracker 2.0 and it’s made a big difference. I’m going to run 2s lipos in it soon. If anyone wants to discuss these then jump onto our group on Facebook. facebook.com/groups/1205532519643517/?ref=share

Hi and thanks for watching! Are there any differences in the 2.0 besides body color? I’ll check out the group!👊😊✌️

Newly designed gear box eliminate need for messy backlash adjustment. *Precision modules on differential gear realize high durability. *Fixed length sus arms eliminate need for precision adjustment of alignment. *Newly designed servo saver protects the servo from crash impact and improves steering feel. Not a whole lot, the shocks also come filled. It’s been a good truck for me so far.

I was actually looking at these on Tower earlier today but they didn’t have any technical info yet.
@@abelphotography1875 amazing! The gearbox support 18-19-20 mph ???? Destroyed gearbox with 21 mph?

Hi and thanks for watching! It’s a good truck for the money! I did put a brushless system in it, but that’s all.👊😊✌️

Que tan durable sale esta camioneta ? El esc y servo de la direccion son durables si alguien puede darme su opinion le agradecere

Hi and thanks for watching! Unfortunately I’m not fluent in Spanish.😔

How durable is the steering servo and esc? playing it in normal conditions and without adding more powerful batteries? How often will I have to replace the esc and the servo? I hope you help me I would really appreciate it
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
I’ve been running mine brushless and haven’t had any issues with the servo. Most Rtr servos are on the weak side. The esc will handle 2s lipo power all day long, just don’t run anything more than that! Hope this helps!😊✌️

Like kyoshos a lot second to Tamiya and that needs to be faster. At least need to get it to do 20mph.

@@HaydadRCHappy year friend! Do you think the mt can withstand speeds of 19-20 mph for long periods without damaging the gears and differential? 😮

Hi! I just bought one for my son, can it handle 3s lipo ?
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching! The esc is only rated up to a 2s. If you run 3s, it’s likely you’ll damage the esc.
@richardjulien24294 жыл бұрын
@@HaydadRC ok, thanks a lot for the fast and precise answer. So if i swap the esc with a more powerful one I might use higher voltage?
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
RICHARD Julien No problem. You can do that but you’d also run the rust of burning out your motor too. I don’t remember but I think this is only a 20t motor. Keep in mind the pinion gear that comes with this is plastic. If it were me; I’d keep it on 2s only and change to a metal pinion gear. You can always gear up a couple teeth on the pinion but you have to be careful with that too; the more teeth you go up, the warmer your electronics will get. You can always end up putting a mild brushless system in it for pretty cheap.
@richardjulien24294 жыл бұрын
@@HaydadRC I've checked it's a 22t but still not very powerful. I'll have to think it through. Maybe a bigger brushless engine with sensor will do it combined to a metal pinion? Do I have to change the spur if I put metal pinion?
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
RICHARD Julien No need to change spur gear. Remember with brushed motors the higher the number of turns, the less speed. So a 15t motor will increase speed over the stock 22t. Conversely, with brushless, the higher the kv #, the more top end speed. If I were to do it, I’d go with a 4000-4300 kv sensorless system.
@stuart_nkd41744 жыл бұрын
What is the max speed?
@HaydadRC4 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching! In stock form I’d guess this truck maxes out at around 16-18mph.👊😊✌️
