I live in the Appalachian mountains of Western N.C. The Smoky Mountain Railroad is about an hour drive. I listened to several of their songs before I had any idea they were not local folk. Norway! This band is amazing!

@@ianalan4367 Norway has mountain folks music. This band also plays a lot of American folk songs combined with their style and you have a great sound.. Rebecca has a great singing voice and then with the bands Norway tongue, WOW. I love this band too..

@@anthonyfernandez9635 Knowing the classroom version of the language is not quite the same thing as understanding the cussing, slang, the cultural symbolism, etc. They performed 'Senor' and I couldnt help but wondering if they understood the line, 'Lincoln County Road' which is a reference to an old back country feud that involved Billy the kid, but also is kind of an ordinary street name, but also the title sub is a bit misleading, as the song is about a break up coming with his wife, but it is masked with double meaning symbolism as well as a comment on American misuse of power as well. So much of the American culture is very flexible by design and I wonder how much Norwegians or anyone not Anglo can grasp that.

@@richardcheek2432 Norway is a very cosmopolitan country with a population largely fluent in English and generally sophisticated. This is not mere mouthing. As for nuance: doesn't the performance speak for itself? And isn't it at least half dependent on what the listener makes of it?

I suspect she comes from a musical family, as do many accomplished musicians.
