I used an Indeedee for my combo which creates Psychic Terrain and a Hawlucha with a Psychic Seed gets a SP Def boost + Unburden and prevents priority moves so Birdy is the fastest thing there.

Does a SDEF boost make a difference for Hawlucha? I suppose a special attack would still hurt even with a boost.

Snap! I slept through the 300K subs! Congrats! I already know Hawlucha is a slept on BAMF! Lol! I like the Grassy Seed combo! I do a split Defense EV spread but the Grassy Seed gives it some longevity! Suhweet team! Hawlucha definitely became one of my top favorite Fighting types through the Gens!

I like a white herb close combat set with Hawlucha for immediate damage and gaining speed while not losing defence to close combat. Sword dance acrobatics and then any coverage move works great

Dragon tail, focus sash, unburden, sceptile. It's the reverse of sturdy plus red card but does the same job, and you get the unburden boost from breaking your focus sash as well as the random switch in momentum from dragon tail.

I had the same strat with my psychic terrain team. paired w/ indeedee and metagross instead my hawlucha has psychic seed. Unburden + sp def boost + immunity to priority moves will REALLY make this bird go ballistic

one thing with bastiodon, Id personally recommend metal burst or foul play over rock slide, as theres never really a time its useful given our friends sad attack stat. Though I did experiment with a power swap mon in doubles and trying to make use of shield bois insane coverage in thunderbolt, flamethrower and ice beam. It was funny but not ultimately worth the trick room + power swap investment, if only we had a coaching for spA :c

I wish there were more abilities that deal with terrain seeds (and also the type "absorb" items). Maybe they'd be used more often. Maybe Harvest could be updated to also recycle seeds. Maybe a terrain setting ability that would set the terrain that matches the held seed so you set and boost at the same time.
