So here's some not-so-fun facts: around this part of the manga, Oda had recently concluded another one of his "cover stories" that he would draw at the start of every chapter, one panel at a time,just like he did for Buggy's and Koby/Helmeppo's. After those two however,Toei simply abandoned the idea of ever animating the following ones, possibly because at the time, with it being a new series and all,there was some concern that having episodes not centered around the crew might have made One Piece's tv ratings plummet. A real shame, not only because they're genuinely great most of the time and helps tie together some characters' stories before they reappear in the main plot, but also because adapting them would have been helpful in avoiding catching up with the manga and slowing the pacing down to a crawl to make up for that. This one in particular was about Jango, the hypnotist from Syrup Village! Here's a little summary: after losing consciousness in that arc, Jango wakes up, having been left behind by his crew, and is immediately chased away from the island after being discovered by the Usopp Pirates at the restaurant chowing down. Back on the sea, he even passes by Axe-Hand Morgan,still escaping from the marines. Jango eventually reaches Mirror Ball Island, a trendy and disco themed island in the East Blue, and seeing that the Marines are still looking out for him,he disguises himself before entering a dance competition,reaching the finals, against non other than Liutenant Fullbody (the guy with the iron kunckle that Sanji beat down),and after a fierce battle Jango wins, the two immediately forging a manly bond. Jango,however, slinks away when the marines are on his trail after finding his old clothes. Unfortunately, a bunch of slimy pirates appear in town,and although Fullbody is able to handle them, they take a girl hostage and back him into a corner. Jango,being the bro that he is, decides to come back to save his buddy,even if he knows this means that Fullbody will be forced to arrest him afterwards,and so he does. At his trial, Jango is sentenced to be hanged,but Fullbody intervenes with a dance number that makes everyone in the court emotional, acquitting him (though in the process,Fullbody loses his rank,forcing him to start at square one in the Marine hierarchy) . The two are about to say farewell, knowing that marines and pirates could never stay together, and Jango is ready to hypnotize the both of them to make eachother forget everything that's happened...when a SMOKING HOT MARINE LADY shows up,and they both decide to become mop boys under her command (might wanna remember this part specifically for later). And they lived happily ever after!

As I only read the collected volumes of the manga I now even started watching the corresponding episodes of your reactions right before I watch your videos. @@iczzephyr first chapter I read was the one where they met Gaimon when I was 17 or 18. I bought a random issue of Shonen Jump and really enjoyed the humor and artstyle (probably around 1999-2000). One Piece and Shaman King really stood out to me the most back then. Then I started reading the French edition of the manga which was the easiest available at the time. Like most I got hooked with Arlong Park. I read to about volume 40 and then dropped it as I wasn’t sure how long the story would take and just didn’t have the space to keep collecting the books. 2 years ago I found those books again and started re-reading them and remembered what I loved about the series so decided to collect them again, but had to switch to the English version since the French version is no longer available here. Anyway, I’m all in now. Kinda regret dropping off back then but glad to have picked it up again since it is just a fantastic story. But I definitely feel old after 25 years of One Piece. Especially with all these kids discovering the series 😁

Btw, when the kid appeared bleeding amd trying to say something, the man immediately mentioned about treating his bloody wound. This is because he said "Chi...ga..." as in "chigau" which means like "it's wrong" but the word for blood in Japanese is "chi" so it sounded like the kid was talking about his blood.

Watching these early episodes again after watching everything up to Egghead Island makes certain things about Sanji hit harder. Like how he recovered so fast from the water pressure at Arlong Park, and now with him going incognito as Mr. Prince. It's only going to get better.

Now that u finished AoT, please increase the frequency of One Piece instead of starting anything big for now. U can later start once u caught up enough which will take a long time obviously If u wanna start anything new, I wanna suggest u one anime named "Cross Game". It is a rom-com + slice of life + sports anime. It is one if the best rom com stories I ever seen. I can guarantee u will fall in love with it. It is just 50 episodes so u can start any time. Please do. U can thank me later since it will definitely be in ur list of all time favourites once u finish. Please consider it. Also Full Metal Alchemist is great choice which is small too but very impactful

The Dance Powder is actually perfect for the desert. I've been thinking about this. If they have a large amount of Dance Powder, they can just distributing it equally among town and countries, and then they can summon rain in turn. You know make a rain schedule. That way everybody will get water. And maybe the side effect of it will not take place since every place are using it equal number of times.

That's what would happen in a perfect world, but if one of their systems is corrupt and they use it more than others, the dance powder creates rain but take away water from nearby countries. And its just one of them to abuse it, let's say they want a rain party,and the other countries to seek vindication for it to become anarchy. An anarchy that will take a toll on normal peoples lifes

It’s being used in an evil plan for a reason. This country was peaceful with a royal family that loves the citizens so much that they will actually hear them out in person if they have a grievance. They will destroy their palace for the sake of maintaining peace. The people have faith in their royal family for a reason, and that’s why they shouldn’t be believing Cobra would ever use Dance Powder, and yet, there it is. How many other countries could be as peaceful only for someone to manipulate the masses? And then there’s people like Wapol, how many dictators would go against the schedule? How many would try to force war between entire kingdoms by going against the schedule? That’s why it was outlawed. Because it did trigger wars in the past.

Seeing how much you love to pay attention to detail on OP and AOT, i think you both would realy enjoy to see the One piece COVER STORIES. It takes 5minutes, its 100% canon sonce its in the manga , and its great for fan who loves to remember old characters and make theories about what will happen ! 😄 Basically its very short story about charactere from old arc that we will see again ( such as the one with baggy meeting alvida or the one about kobby meeting garp and coming to the grand line. Unfortunately only those two got animated but there are a mot more. But the end of alabasta you may have read one about jango the hypnotiser and one about wappool ! And maybe one about ace also 🤔 literaly takes 3-4min each ) Maybe you patreon people can give you the link to those !

Man, I love Crocodile as a villain. He's such an awful person. Still the best villain in the show, even 1000 episodes in. All the lead-up to him, and then him just being this manipulative crime boss who just loves tormenting the people of Alabasta, it's so good. Oh man, and I forgot this is the episode where Crocodile talks about Toto. That's the thing about him that makes him so much more evil than others. He's so powerful and ready to rip this country apart, but while he does so, he also keeps on just messing with one old man because he thinks it's funny to keep crushing his dream. He sucks so much.
