The sad part is that it’s true. Many sexual abuse victims become unhygienic, having their body unkept and less appealing to discourage the abuser from assaulting them. They turn into ladybugs who trick predators into not eating them (or else, they would die poisoned) with their red bodies and black spots.

Whats worst about this in regards to show is that many who have no experience with abusers don't understand this and try to "cancel" the show over it, as well as "Loser" song, which is meant to encourage people to admit if they are doing bad, since that's the best way to start building oneself up again.

When they are bound with ropes at 21:00 , Angel's rope is chaotic and Husk's is neatly wrapped. Maybe pointing to the nature of their respective "owners". Valentino being an emotional in-the-moment type & Alastor being neat/calculating.

some more interpretations: 1. Husk has more rope on him because he's been under someone's hand longer and/or stronger 2. Angel's rope is visually alluding to bondage(?) while Husk's to regular "mafia hostage", reflecting owners' aesthetics

@@pasteldepombo4819 Ehhh.... Alastor won't let Husk go easily-far too useful-but since Alastor is apparently sponsoring Husk's powers, it may be that leaving Alastor's service would result in Husk becoming WAY weaker. Which, in Hell, could be a death sentence.

@@perrycarters3113 It does not seem like Alastor is sponsoring his power. From what I gather Husk gambled by playing a game with Alastor which if Husk won he would get power and if he lost Alastor would own his soul and in the end Alastor won completely(as shown when he had all the cards and the moeny during Husks flashback scene) So Husk did not gain any power and became Alastors property instead. I think the current Husk is much weaker than his overlord days due to having lost all the souls he use to own. Plus his name is literally Husk.

To be fair they did state that unless Angel weapon used on a Sinner - they will regenerate after a time... So Sinner Demons prefer to escape even by a method painful and not always quick death (you will be out for a while but will eventually reform) rather than risk to be in vicinity of an Overlord (especially these specific two) that can enslave your soul for eternity. So they choose to send themselves to respawn point rather that risk their freedom.

2:17 Alister is eating a deer. Deers are one of the rare mammals that actually have been witnessed partaking in cannibalism on a seemingly regular basis as long as conditions are right. So Alister (the deer demon or deer like demon idk what he really is) eating the deer is just perfect Hell setting.

I believe Vivzie mentioned outside of the show that sinners take on parts of the way they lived and died when they go to hell. Alastor was a serial killer and radio host and died in the woods while he was burying a body because a hunter mistook him for a deer, which is why he has deer antlers and hooves and has so many deer related references (the mug, the deer carcass) around him. It's very fitting because of the reasons you mention, but with this context it becomes even MORE fitting.

Episode 4 is such a tearjerker. I feel so sorry for Angel Dust. A victim of abuse, both from the industry he's in, and from his boss who he can contractually never leave. He acts like a jerk and is overly sexual as a coping mechanism, to feel like he's still in control. I don't think he just agreed to stay at the hotel to get away from him, I think he really wants to be redeemed enough to go to Heaven, because it's the only way he knows to escape. He deserves so much better than Valentino. I'm glad he and Husk found some common ground and are able to support eachother.

The Vees are probably in higher ranks of the overlords, but only because they are 3 overlords working together. For example Alastor has around the same strength as them combined if not a little more, but works completely alone. @@stancinatti8198for sure but there's a reason Zestials the only real Demon we've seen who is still alive and full of power after being in hell for so long. Soul dealing is risky and as seen with Husks fall from power, but Zestial has maintained position as the most feared, while also being a gentleman and not relying on intimidation, while the Vees have each other aswell as an entire enterprise

But she's also smart and can read the room well, so the moment Carmilla showed a sense of unease around the Angels head she immediately capitalized! If anything she knows how to keep herself out of trouble while pushing boundaries, which fits with her being the youngest Overlord.

Not necessarily, I'm pretty sure Carmilla is a fallen angel, i dont see why angels who were sent to hell couldn't trade souls too. I also have a strong feeling Vaggie was a Exorcist angle that came down to kill sinners once a year like Lute. She could have refuse to kill them though. Most exorcists have an X on their right eye and its white or gold while Vaggie has a red x on her left, like the dead angel that Carmilla killed. Also makes it more interesting that they had a song together if they are both from heaven but care about the souls in hell and want to protect them.

I love the newly formed friendship between Angel and Husk, they really seem to understand each other and Husk definitely seems to have a positive effect on Angel. Can’t wait to see it develop more. Side Note: I really hope that evil Valentino gets every ounce of bad karma he’s owed by seasons end.

I love how Zestial and Alastor , when compared to the V's show the difference between confidence and arrogance. The former don't feel the need to enter into a pissing contest with other Overlords, because they know better than to needlessly step on each other's toes. Whereas the V's are basically *looking* to pick fights regardless if its smart or not and despite them needing each other to maintain their shared empire, each of them considers themselves the "backbone of the V's". Hell, Velvette calls everyone in that room cowards for not wanting a war with *Heaven* , a war only the Seven Deadly Sins would be powerfull enough to survive, which really speaks to her ignorance.

You can related this dynamic to a form of immaturity. The older Overlords like Carmilla and Alastor have decades and decades (if not hundreds of years) of experience being in charge. They know what they should and shouldn't do to maintain their power. While the V's are all relatively young by comparison; as historically-inspired characters based on TV, the adult industry, social media; so they lack the wisdom that comes with age. Making them more hot-headed and impulsive.

My top 3 favorite Overlords so far are definitely Carmilla Carmine, Zestial, and Alastor, I’m that order. Carmilla, unlike most Overlords, seems to genuinely care about the people of Hell, more specifically her daughters, who she killed an Exorcist to save them. Zestial is definitely a cool old guy who rightfully turned down Velvette’s idea for war(mainly due to how severe the consequences could be for the people of Hell), and I like his relationship(friend or other) with Carmilla, who trusted him enough to tell her secret. Alastor… well, he’s just so deliciously evil, yet surprisingly relatable. I hope we get to see more of the Overlords in future episodes.

It's hard to imagine Stolas actually winning in a fight. He is canonically far more powerful than Alastor, but he also canonically almost died to an imp. I guess he's just so used to being completely untouchable that he doesn't take threats seriously. I wonder where Lilith ranks in all of this. She's technically the first sinner demon while also being the Queen of hell who's power has been growing since its creation.

my theory killing/harming angels is possible, but it only works as an act of righteousness. she managed because she acted to protect her children. which is why nobody has ever managed to kill an angel before because; 1) vast majority of hell have nobody in their life they care enough to confront an angel. 2) those who have someone to care never been as powerful as an overlord such as carmilla, hence they couldnt do any further than insignificant harms. this loophole might be pivotal. because my second theory is alastor will build an attachments to his friends in the hotel and that'll grant him the power to kill bunch of angels.

This is the first time I've ever heard this kind of theory, it's so plausible and would actually explain why no angels have never been killed until now. Also means that hell is not gonna survive a war against heaven if that's the case, as that kind of righteousness is hella rare, and the circumstances for it are extremely specific.

@@Gruffuntrue, but then again, we've seen in the two series, a ton of examples of that sort of bond developing. Luna and blitz, moxie and blitz, moxie and millie, stolas and blitz (maybe the other way too? ), fizz and asmodeus would be a crazy one because that gives a sin the power to do it, v and Charlie, husk and angel now. A ton of those deep bond type relationships are now forming.

In case you didn’t know, this is backstory for Alastor’s deer theme. He was a 1930s radio host… but also a cannibalistic serial killer. While hiding a body, he was shot by a hunter who thought he was a deer. The X on his forehead is where the bullet hit.

There are no words that can describe how much I hope that we see Valentino get just what he deserves in later episodes. As a DV survivor, the scene with him at the shoot was very difficult to watch. But the fact that Husk and Angel finally found common ground and were able to help trauma process a bit is incredible. It was done and represented so respectfully.

This episode is what made Husker my top favorite character. Deep down he truly cares for angel even if he doesn’t show it that much. But in this episode, he showed it a lot. I even theorize that maybe it could be possible that he and angel could become a couple and finally experience what actual love really is 🥹 AND IF THOSE ANGELS FREAKING KILL HUSK OR ANGEL, I AM SO GONNA BE PISSED CUZ THOSE TWO DESERVE HAPPINESS 😭😭😭

Zelestial is voiced by Jason Monroe Igelheart. Given that so many viewers share the same belief that Jason Statham plays a role in Hazbin Hotel, it is only logical that there is an origin to this theory. His rumored involvement began when Amazon Prime Video's listing included Statham as the voice of Zestial Morde. It turned out that this was an error on Prime Video's part, and Statham was listed as the voice of Zestial by mistake.

Can I just say the soundtrack in this show so far absoltley *SLAPS* , Respectless, Stayed Gone and Loser Baby are total bangers and are already on my playlist. Episode 4 is definitely the best episode so far in terms of great storytelling and character growth, and it's such a rollercoaster of emotions, but in a good way. I knew Valentino would be a despicable piece of s***, but man, this episode truly made me despise him. Angel's escapism is also very relatable to a lot of people who suffer from the same real-life abuse and self-destruction. Husk being an overlord was also a crazy reveal, and I can certainly see it, in fact, if you go back to the pilot episode on KZfaq, you can see a shadow of Husk in the ensemble shot of all the Overlords when Vaggie explains who Alastor is. Keith David as Husk is such incredible casting, and I adored "Loser Baby" as the harmonious, uplifting tune gives you a cosy and calm feeling after watching such dark moments. Blake Roman and Keith David absolutely killed it in this duet.

Welcome to the "everyone hates Valentino" ride ! Man, he's enjoyable as a villain but what a piece of crap. I'm glad that Angel find some peace at the hotel. The "Addict" video they made a while back actually presented that part of Angel so it wasn't a surprise for a lot of people (and I think there's a comic too ?). But yeah, delicate subject to touched upon and I really love the meaning behind the song. Sure, Husker and Angel situation isn't quite the same but he's still the slave of Alastor, as we've seen in the pilot and the first episode. Husker didn't want to be a part of this but he'll grow to enjoy his time here. You need to look across the "you're a loser" part. It means that even if you're damaged, like, almost to the point of being broken, you can still find people who you relate to and who can relate to you. So yeah, life is hell, but it's better to have compagny and mend the pieces together than facing your depression alone. And I can relate to that too. Also, you might have miss it but we learn Angel true name too, Anthony. Interesting how is story is pretty close to Fizzarolli's. As for the Overlords reunion, I just love to think Vox sent Velvett in his place so he wouldn't have to deal with Alastor, now that he's back x) The humiliation from episode 2 probably stung too much ^^ Very similar to how Lucifer sent Charlie to meet with Adam. Funny that both have Lilith in common, missing for 7 years, while Alastor just came back. If Carmilla can kill an angel, I wonder who can do it too. Probably the Morningstar family as a whole, especially with Lucifer being a fallen angel. That brings the question on why they never tried. Charlie is too sweet unless someone she cares about is hurt (great reaction to Angel being abused by the way) and maybe they already did and it turned ugly. Can't wait to have more stuff to think about !

I don't want to be the “that guy” but you guys usually research things after these episodes anyway so I'll just save you some time Charlie is the only natural born demon in the show so far. Every other Sinner and the overlords are human souls even Zestial. In episode one the Angel said the only reason Charlie and the Imps from “hell of a boss” aren't attacked is because Lucifer made a deal with heaven that only human souls are purged. Four episodes in who the Frick knows how this works.

@@terra4822 I'm mainly going off the information given in the show at this point. The only thing I can find about Rosie being hell brone is a transcript from a deleted Q&A so that might be the case. It's been a long four years since the pilot so I'm not 100% sure what's stayed and what's changed basically I'm only taking what is being shown in the show at face value at the moment. But you were correct on an unlisted QA they did reference that sinners cannot have children so if carmela's daughters were born in hell to be why they refer to as mom and not like more they died as teenagers and surrogate took over kind of thing, or just all died on earth,then you're right but at the moment we do not know that.

So I'm just going to refrain from commenting on this but I will remind everyone that there has been a lot of fan projects in the last four years and the fan made Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light comic is not cannon to the show so any information from that wiki or subject is not applicable. Same for Zestial the only information I can find at the moment is also unofficial but it both claims he is a Sinner demon. Whether I'm right or wrong we'll most likely find out in the show.

4th episode was so painful, I love the lore but damn. Small bits relatable had me tearing up. So i never saw it say Jason Statham, when I watched it said James Monroe Inglehart. So Amazon must of glitched on you. The actual VA is the guy who plays Ozzie in Helluva Boss, you can hear Ozzie pop in and out at times which is awesome. Now you must wait with the rest of us. So... remember the Harvest Moon episode of Helluva Boss when Moxxie sneaks into Striker's room and sees the sniper rifle? He calls it a "genuine Carmine blessed tip rifle." The overlord in Hazbin who killed the angel is Carmilla Carmine, the overlord who runs the illegal gun trade in hell. It was a hard crafted rifle, tipped with angelic steel so bullets fired from it become blessed and can kill royal demons. Fun little tie in there.

Zestial is an overlord. In hell the hierarchy goes, the royal family (Charlie/Lucifer/Lilith), the deadly sins, Goetia family royalty (Stolas and his family), overlords, sinners, hellborn demons, and lastly imps and hellhounds. Overlords are pretty strong, but not so strong when compared to someone like Lucifer or Charlie, or even the seven deadly sins. With that being said, Charlie could definitely destroy Valentino. Edit: BTW an overlord is a sinner who obtained power surpassing a normal sinner. They are stronger than your average sinner and usually deal in the realm of souls. Powerful overlords can have thousands of souls under contract. They are powerful influential figures among the common rabble of hell. Those people at the meeting were all overlords. (Valentino and Vox, who were not at the meeting are also overlords). Overlords are not stronger than demon royalty though.

@@Eichaaa I’m sure they are sinners. Carmilla is a sinner, she has kids yes, but they are either adopted or they were related when they were all alive. Think about it, hellborn demons are pardoned from extermination. Carmilla said the executioner attacked them and she had to defend herself and her family. A executioner wouldn’t have attacked them if they were hellborn, so Camilla and her kids cannot be hellborn.

Zest is from the Leviathan and/or underwater ring of hell. Zest is the overlord of that realm and being the oldest is on very familiar terms with both Camilla and Alastar. Zest and his noble family are also on VERY intimate terms with Charlie's family. Charlie dated Zest's son at some point in the past as Lucifer has a framed portrait of Charlie and Zest's son at prom.
