The irony here is the Charlie, per Vivziepop herself, is actually several times more powerful than Alastor. She doesn't like using all that power but she could literally destroy all of Pentagram CIty with a hand wave if she wanted. The only creatures in Hell stronger than her are her parents, Lucifer and Lilith. She's number 3 in terms of overall strength, but most feel free to mock her because she's too nice to hurt them, which is one of the reasons why Lucifer calls her a failure.

Fun facts about Alastor: -He was a radio host/serial killer from New Orliens in the 1910s, 20s and early 30s (hence the voodoo vibe he gives) He died in 1933. He was probably also shot in the head since you can see a red x on his forehead during the final scene. -Alastor is half creole and can speak broken French and is a mama's boy -he is also a cannibal and frequents the cannibal colony where he meets his friend and fellow powerful overloard Rosie. -Alastor always smiles cause he considers frowning a sign of weakness -Alastor is based off of a dear in his design (hence the deer ears, antlers and hooves under his shoes) and is loosely based on the Wendigo. -He hates modern technology (anything after his death) and his main rival is Vox the TV demon -he was the first character Viv created

To be fair, Charlie actually is "too nice for Hell." Unlike the other characters in Hazbin, who were sinners and condemned to Hell as punishment, she was born there. So she hasn't done anything to be considered a sinner. She's also one of the most powerful beings in Hell (she eclipses Alastor), but her kind demeanor makes it really difficult to make her do all out with her power. In terms of power in Hell: 1. Lucifer 2. Lilith and Charlie 3. The Seven Sins 4. Goetia Demons, like Stolas. 5. Overlords like Alastor. Sinners who amassed a lot of power and/or influence. Though Alastor is an Overlord by technicality, since he doesn't have a desire for power or territory. 6. Sinners. Mortals who died and were condemned to Hell. Like Vaggie and Angel 7. Hellborns, like Succubi 8. Low-class Hellborn, like imps and hellhounds

Hazbin Hotel gets released this summer. as for Sir Pentious surviving Alastor’s attack, sinners can only die permanently from an angel’s blade, and the angels are the ones performing the Cleanse every year. also, watch Addict, which gives more context on angel dust

Fun favt: In Episode 2 of Helluva Boss Loo Loo Land, Robo Fizarolli has a segment his song in the same way Charlie starts "inside of every demon is a rainbow". The Cleanse is a yearly purge where teams of angels go down to hell to thin the demon population to slow overpopulation. They sometimes leave their weapons behind to continue the killings after they leave and that's where those angelic blessed weapons come from like the rifle and pistol that Striker had in Helluva Boss. If you haven't picked up on it yet (it isn't really explained) but there are different classes and species of demons in hell, Hellborn (those that are born in hell), Sinners (human souls that are sent to hell), Overlords, Fallen angel and Demons of Ars Goetia. Ones born in hell are the Hell Hounds, Imps, Succubi and Baphomets. Hell is somewhat designed following the idea of the rings of hell from dante's inferno, Lust, Greed, Wrath and so on. Different species of Hellborn demons also come from different rings, like the Imps come from Wrath, Succubi from Lust and Hellhounds from gluttony, with each ring being ruled by their own Overlord.

I never realize this, but at 23:49 in the background of the sounds, you can hear Alastor's radio sound effects play a half a second audio clip of Charlie when she was singing her song. It sounded like it said "Inside of..." and then it cuts off. I wonder if Alastor has his own built in radio device, where he can change the volume of sounds, and play sounds, maybe he heard everything they were talking about?

So, Alastor is NOT "one of the most powerful demons" by a longshot. He is one of the most powerful (debatebly) mortal souls, an ex-human. That being said, he is still quite powerful, the only people above him (and similar) are: The Goetia, the 8 Lords (one for each ring), the 9th lord and king Lucifer himself (who is the most powerful, then second to lucifer (I believe unconfirmed which one is more, so call it a tie) are Lilith and none other than Charlie herself. So, as it turns out charlie is CLASSES above Alastor, by a longshot.
