To answer your question about drinking, it isn't a sin - alcoholism is. I think what Vaggie was concerned about was that the hotel patrons would take advantage of the bar and that it would encourage alcoholism, thus the patrons would continue to sin.

There's a theory that Alastor is so powerful because he draws on all the suffering caused by the Great Depression to fuel his powers, which I think would make a lot of sense based on both when he died and how much he enjoys the suffering of others. It being the very source of his power would explain so much.

Small thing: Charlie's dad is not Satan but Lucifer and Satan is a separate character that has yet to be depicted in any Hazbin Hotel material.

This was one of the very first Vivziepop animations I ever saw, and, the very moment I watched it, I fell in LOVE with it! It's a true masterpiece in my eyes, and I can't WAIT for more of this show! Some might argue that "there's way too much going on", but that's honestly what I love about it - there's so much happening that I can't look away from it! It keeps you engaged all throughout the episode, makes you wonder where the story's going and what will happen next, and it gives you a little bit of insight into everyone at once. And imagine the amount of effort and dedication it took to draw all of those details!

Some fun facts about Alastor: He has some leftover traits from his original design that dealt with deer. If you look at the bottom of his shoes when he walks they have deer hoof prints on the bottom and also make a clicking noise like hooves when he walks around the hotel, he also has small antlers hidden in his hair but his more demonic and powerful form has much larger ones, also seen on his living shadow. Alastor also has two different voice actors, his speaking actor and hist singing voice actor who is Gabriel Brown a.k.a BlackGryph0n. I don't know if this is confirmed but it seems like his power stems from his voodoo like powers and ability to make deals, Vaggie specifically points out 'he's a deal maker, pure evil' and when he tries to make the deal with Charlie the glowing green arcane energy around him is powerful enough to have winds that push object away and Vaggie has to brace herself against it while even Angeldust, who's been largely jokey about the whole Alastor situation, takes a step back either from the force or a slight amount of fear.

And fyi, Sir Pen is still very much alive. There's and after credits scene showing him climb out of the crater.

I dont know why but the start of her song, the "I have a dream, I'm here to tell!" part. It reminds me ALOT of that scene in the Rapunzel movie where they're at the duck bar and all start singing about their dreams.

You're close with the death times, but not quite. Angel Dust and Alastor were both born between 1900 and 1910, although we don't have exact dates for either. Angel Dust died 1947 and was, as you thought, a member of the Italian mafia from, I believe, New York, and died from an overdose. Alastor died 1933 and worked as a radio host in New Orleans. He was a serial killer and cannibal in life. He died via a gunshot wound (the x between his eyes when he's wrecking Sir Pentious marks the wound), although we know dogs also had something to do with his death, and why he hates dogs now. Likely attacked by a pack of hunting dogs before being finished off by the hunter, which would also tie in with his species as a deer demon. As far as I know, we don't have a solid age range for Vaggie, but she died by far the most recently of the lot, which older information gives to be 2014. She's Salvadorian, and worked as a prostitute in life. She died in a car crash, which, if the driver was drunk, could explain her dislike towards alcohol. Sir Pentious was an inventor from the Victorian era, dying 1889. Husk is a war veteran who died in the 1970s, and underneath all that fur, is just an old man who wants a long nap. Niffty died in the 50s. I have information on quite a few others, but this comment is already ridiculously long. That being said, the most important thing to take from this is that Angel Dust is actually the oldest (besides Husk), as Alastor was, at the oldest, 33 when he died, and Angel Dust was a minimum of 37, which is absolutely hysterical to me.

On Earth Angel Dust’s name was Anthony and he was in fact part of an Italian (I think) mob family. He has a twin sister known as Mollie, an older brother who goes by Arakniss (if I remember correctly) and his father who is called Henroin (a mix of Henry and Heroin) and his Mother is never shown, implied to be in heaven. He OD’d and ended up in a coma in the 40’s before finally going to hell. Not too much else is known about him, except what’s shown in the prequel comic and the fact he was most likely looked down upon in his family for being so openly flamboyant. He’s still in good terms with his sister, but not so much with the other two. (If anyone notices anything incorrect here I’ll happily change it, this is just off of my memory of stuff I heard a year ago-)

They didn't "pitch up" Charlie's voice. They hired an amazing British singer with incredible range, Elsie Lovelock (for the pilot. Sadly, Union issues meant she couldn't continue). Charlie's speaking voice is Jill Harris (Also a lovely talent).
