And the somewhat dog looking outline for Charlie is likely a reference to super old cartoons where they would have dog(ish) people with their noses black in order to stand out better.

For people who are just learning about Hazbin Hotel, here's as short a summary I can give: Animator/Character Designer/Aritst Vivziepop has been creating the characters for Hazbin Hotel LONG before the actual animation process came together. It wasn't up until roughly 4-5 YEARS ago that they started work on the Hazbin Hotel cartoon idea. Vivziepop is the director, producer, and one of the animators for Hazbin, with a whole team of people working behind her. It's a giant passion project, and it's been a loooooooong time coming. And from a surprise Q&A on Vivziepop's channel, *it has not been determined if/when other episodes of Hazbin Hotel will come out.* That's why they really depend on reaction videos and channels, such as NiTe SHADE, to spread awareness that this exists. A lil run back on the characters. Charlie: daughter of Lucifer, never actually "lived" or had a chance to sin which is probably why she's so nice. But also if you think about Lucifer's background, he was once an angel so maybe she just inherited that behavior. Alastor/Radio Demon: A serial killer and radio host from Louisiana who was shot and killed by a hunter in the 1930s. Vaggie: Not too much is known on her background other than she died in 2014. Although I feel a few clues are in her design and behavior. She has X's over her chest and eye. So I'm assuming her death or life had something to do with domestic abuse, prostitution, rape, ect. Which would explain her distrust with men and alcohol. Angel Dust: A pornstar who died of an overdose in the 40s. He also has a twin sister who is in hell. Its theorized that he came from a family of mafia members. Nifty: not much is known other than she died in the 50s or 60s. I honestly can't think of a good reason she's in Hell. She seems mostly innocent. Other than her violent OCD. Husker: A gambler and alcoholic who died in the 80s. Most likely due to an event with alcohol (poisoning, accident) Cherri Bomb: Other than the fact that shes very anarchist and violent not much is known. Including the fact she died in the 80s. I assume it had something to do with injuries in a fight since her clothing is mostly worn and shes missing a shoe. Sir Pentious: He always a fallen villian who died in 1888. He was possibly also an inventor which would explain all his machines the Egg Boys are his minions. Also the point of the extermination is to reduce overpopulation in Hell. I think secretly that is Charlie's purpose and that her father forces her to do it. Which is why she wants to stop it so badly.

Not so much people had noticed but Alastor (The Radio Demon) voice go back to his real voice -without the static noise- when he become himself. For example when he says “too many orphans” and when he talks about the new possible guests.

I find it ironic how sir pentious (snake boi) is the demon using the most technically advanced machinery and the most of it despite being the oldest (died in the 1880s)

I’m beginning to think that much of the power that Alastor uses isn’t actually his own. Alastor says that he’s “cashing in favors” when he aids the hotel, and Vaggie says that Alastor is a deal maker. So I’m beginning to think that Alastor’s true power comes from making magically enhanced deals. All he needs to do is choose the perfect wording to get the upper hand and in a instant he can be the strongest being in the 9 Circles of Hell.

I'm definitely getting Bill Cipher vibes from Alastor. A being that insanely powerful, very comedic and often seems like he's not taking stuff seriously. Hell (no pun intended), we even have the handshake deal thing going on too

I love this style so much, and there's one very important reason why . . . This is not a movie, in a theater, but it has better quality than what you'd find in one As such, things happening so fast, too fast to figure out...you can just watch it again. and again, or just pause it if you want. xD I think it's lazy, and insulting when a writer and director slows down their animation or script specifically to explain every little detail, padding out the run time, and ruining the experience. That said, glad you guys liked this, give Vivzi some more love

The only Disney-esque feels I get from this show, aside from the musical numbers, are Charlie and Vaggie's relationship. They sort of remind me of Star and Marco from Star vs. The Forces of Evil. An overly cheerful and optimistic princess and a badass Latina bodyguard and friend who knows how to fight, protects her from getting in over her head and keeps her grounded, and has not so secret feelings for her.
