How to start Montessori for newborn babies at home | Montessori NEWBORN activities
In this video, I'll be taking you along with us, showing how to incorporate Montessori principles at home right from birth. You'll discover a ton of activities for fostering your newborn baby's brain development through the Montessori approach, featuring easy and practical ideas for everyday interactions.
I have categorised into three main areas: tactile, visual, and auditory experiences for babies 0-3 months.
These activities will help you apply Montessori principles in your home and help your baby adjust from the womb to the outside world.

My mother talked to me all-day when I was a baby, like she did not shut up ever. I talked super early and growing up always had a bigger vocabulary than other kids my age. My mum (and I also) are 100% sure that it's because she talked to me so much so early. My father has a new family and they barely ever talked to their baby and she had a very hard time learning to talk.

How come people don't talk to their baby? I never thought about it, I just always talk to my baby the whole day long 😄 Commenting what I do, what she does, reading to her, telling stories, talking while playing with her etc. Isn't that completely normal?

I talk to my babies nonstop as well, but my kids don't start saying words until after 2, by 4 I can't get them to start talking. It's never so black and white with babies/ children, there's never a hard fast rule that will work the same for every child, they're all individuals and a lot has to do with brain development in the womb and the way their individual brains will process things.

So glad I’ve watched this I have been doing most of these things unintentionally especially ensuring I’m engaging with him everytime he is looking at me holding him and talking/singing to him continuously. He’s now 3 months old and has been cooing away since he was 8 weeks old. My mum thinks I hold him and “spoil” him but I don’t believe in this. I want my son to know he is treasured and loved every minute. I’ve never been told to do anything around playing and exploring but I knew I wanted to give my child the best possible start so have been trying to do my research around what our babies like to do/ find interesting at there age range. I’m not perfect and struggled with tummy time due to him hating it unless on my chest but we are finding new ways to make him more comfortable and enjoy it. Thank you for this video I it’s been very helpful, you’re doing a great job!!! Elijah is very cute❤

Beautiful baby! I recommend removing all the positioning cushions. They are not Montessori, and many similar items have been recalled due to deaths. It's impossible to track all the recalls, so the safest course is not to buy them. Toss them. We are third generation Montessorians here.
